After just getting off the phone with my congressman, Walter Jones, 3rd district of North Carolina, I am proud to say that his office is reporting, also proudly, that Mr Jones will not be voting to reinstate the so called P.A.T.R.I.O.T. Act that eviscerates most of the Bill of Rights as well as our American way of justice. They were also concerned with the secretive way the Congress is going about trying to reauthorize it.

As we all know, the P.A.T.R.I.O.T. Act is the feds way of ignoring the 4th, 5th, and 6th, amendments and depriving the people of their rights and trial by jury system. Section 802 of the P.A.T.R.I.O.T Act makes all misdemeanors a felony, not to mention the roving wiretaps, secret sneak and peek searches without the knowledge of the subject, search and seizure of Liberty records, and so-called "national security letters" signed by anonymous bureaucrats that replace warrants signed by a judge.

So, hats off to you Mr Jones. I hope you have some sway on some of our lesser intelligent congress critters.
