Qatar-based news channel Al Jazeera said its signal was being jammed in parts of the Middle East on Tuesday, days after Egypt shut the network's operations in the country and an Egyptian satellite cut its broadcast signal.
"Signals on the Nilesat platform were cut, and frequencies on the Arabsat and Hotbird platforms were disrupted continually forcing millions of viewers across the Arab world to change satellite frequencies throughout the day," Al Jazeera said in a statement, referring to a few of the geostationary satellites broadcasting across the region.
At least one million Egyptians took to the streets on Tuesday in scenes never before seen in the Arab nation's modern history, roaring in unison for President Hosni Mubarak and his new government to quit.
"We have been working round the clock to make sure we are broadcasting on alternative frequencies. Clearly there are powers that do not want our important images pushing for democracy and reform to be seen by the public," a Jazeera spokesman said in an e-mailed statement.
Al Jazeera's coverage of political unrest in Egypt has been widely watched in the region, and the channel said on Tuesday a dozen smaller Arab networks had interrupted their own programmes to carry its signal.
"Over the past week the network has faced multiple attempts to disrupt their coverage from Egypt, with signals being interfered with on a continual basis, and journalists being banned and detained," Al Jazeera said.
Egyptian authorities briefly detained six reporters from Al Jazeera English in Cairo on Monday, seizing one camera.
The news channel, which says it can reach 220 million households in more than 100 countries, had asked viewers to switch to Arabsat and Hotbird satellites after saying Egypt's satellite Nilesat had cut off its signal.
Launched in Doha, Qatar, in 1996, Al Jazeera has more than 400 reporters in over 60 countries, according to its website.

Canadian television viewers looking for the most thorough and in-depth coverage of the uprising in Egypt have the option of tuning into Al Jazeera English, whose on-the-ground coverage of the turmoil is unmatched by any other outlet. American viewers, meanwhile, have little choice but to wait until one of the U.S. cable-company-approved networks broadcasts footage from AJE, which the company makes publicly available. What they can’t do is watch the network directly.
Other than in a handful of pockets across the U.S. – including Ohio, Vermont and Washington, D.C. – cable carriers do not give viewers the choice of watching Al Jazeera. That corporate censorship comes as American diplomats harshly criticize the Egyptian government for blocking Internet communication inside the country and as Egypt attempts to block Al Jazeera from broadcasting.
The result of the Al Jazeera English blackout in the United States has been a surge in traffic to the media outlet’s website, where footage can be seen streaming live. The last 24 hours have seen a two-and-a-half thousand percent increase in web traffic, Tony Burman, head of North American strategies for Al Jazeera English, told HuffPost. Sixty percent of that traffic, he said, has come from the United States.
Al Jazeera English launched in the fall of 2006, opening a large bureau on K Street in downtown Washington, but has made little progress in persuading cable companies to offer the channel to its customers.
The objections from the cable companies have come for both political and commercial reasons, said Burman, the former editor-in-chief of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. “In 2006, pre-Obama, the experience was a challenging one. Essentially this was a period when a lot of negative stereotypes were associated with Al Jazeera. The effort was a difficult one,” he said, citing the Bush administration’s public hostility to the network.
“There was reluctance from these companies to embark in a direction that would perhaps be opposed by the Bush administration. I think that’s changed. I think if anything the Obama administration has indicated to Al Jazeera that it sees us as part of the solution, not part of the problem,” Burman said.
Cable companies are also worried, said Burman, that they will lose more subscribers than they will gain by granting access to Al Jazeera. The Canadian experience, he said, should put those fears to rest. In Canada, national regulators can require cable companies to provide certain channels and Al Jazeera ran a successful campaign to encourage Canadians to push the government to intervene. There has been extremely little negative reaction over the past year as Canadians have been able to view the channel and decide for themselves. “We had a completely different process and result here in Canada — a grassroots campaign that was overwhelmingly successful,” said Avi Lewis, the former host of Al Jazeera’s Frontline USA. (He now freelances for Al Jazeera while working on a documentary project with his wife, Naomi Klein.)
Media critics have begun to push for Al Jazeera’s inclusion. “It is downright un-American to still refuse to carry it,” wrote Jeff Jarvis on Sunday. “Vital, world-changing news is occurring in the Middle East and no one-not the xenophobic or celebrity-obsessed or cut-to-the-bone American media-can bring the perspective, insight, and on-the-scene reporting Al Jazeera English can.”
Al Jazeera follows a public broadcasting model similar to the BBC, CBC and NPR and is largely funded by the government of Qatar, which Burman said takes a completely hands-off approach to content. Al Jazeera is the scourge of authoritarian governments around the Middle East, which attempt to block it.
The network, however, covers much more than the Middle East, and now has more bureaus in Latin America than CNN and the BBC, said Burman. “As proud as we are of our Middle Eastern coverage, we are in other places in the world that are never, never seen on television in American homes,” he said.
Burman said that he will use the experience with the Tunisia and Egyptian uprisings in upcoming meetings with cable providers as the network continues its push. Comcast did not respond to requests for comment.
“Why in the most vibrant democracy in the world, where engagement and knowledge of the world is probably the most important, why it’s not available is one of these things that would take a PhD scholar to understand,” Burman said.

According to a FOX News report, Wednesday evening in Cairo Egypt, men on camels beat protesters as Molotov cocktails were hurled through the massive crowds. People were caught on fire.
Automatic weapon fire has been heard from within the crowd. Women, children and protesters are deemed to be trapped within the square at this time.
Violence seems to be escalating. Journalists have also reported to have been attacked.

Anti-secrecy website WikiLeaks has been nominated for the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize, the Norwegian politician behind the proposal said on Wednesday, a day after the deadline for nominations expired. Skip related content
The Norwegian Nobel Committee accepts nominations for what many consider as the world's top accolade until February 1, although the five panel members have until the end of the month to make their own proposals.
"By disclosing information about corruption, human rights abuses and war crimes, WikiLeaks is a natural contender for the Nobel Peace Prize," Valen said.
Members of all national parliaments, professors of law or political science and previous winners are among those allowed to make nominations. The committee declined to comment on the WikiLeaks proposal or any other nominations.
Washington is furious at WikiLeaks and its founder Julian Assange for releasing tens of thousands of secret documents and diplomatic cables which it says have harmed U.S. interests abroad, including peace efforts.
Assange, An Australian, faces extradition to Sweden from Britain for questioning in a sex case which he and his supporters say is a smear campaign designed to close down WikiLeaks, a non-profit organisation funded by the public and rights groups.
Awarding WikiLeaks the prize would be likely to provoke criticism of the Nobel Committee, which has courted controversy with its two most recent choices, jailed Chinese pro-democracy activist Liu Xiaobo and U.S. President Barack Obama a few months after his election.
NOBEL DEFINITION STRETCHED
The prize was endowed by Alfred Nobel, the Swedish inventor of dynamite, who said in his will it was to be awarded to whoever "shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses."
In past decades the committee, appointed by the Norwegian parliament, has stretched Nobel's definition to include human rights, climate activism and even micro-financing, which have been a source of criticism from Nobel traditionalists.
Nobel watchers say a prize for WikiLeaks would highlight the growing role of specialist Internet sites and broad access social media in bringing about world change.
Sites such as Twitter and YouTube have played important roles in mobilising people in countries with a tight grip on official media, such as Egypt where mass anti-government protests have been taking place.
Kristian Berg Harpviken of the PRIO peace think tank in Oslo agreed that innovative use of "new tools for bringing about peace" could be a major theme in this year's Nobel, but he said he expected the prize to go to a woman after a series of male recipients.
His strongest tip was the Russian human rights group Memorial and its leader, Svetlana Gannushkina.
The nomination deadline may make it difficult for Middle East nominees should mass protests there produce peace.
Egypt's Mohamed ElBaradei won the prize in 2005 as head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, the U.N. nuclear watchdog. Although theoretically possible, no individual has won the peace prize twice. The Red Cross has won three times.

The TSA has announced its intention to expand the VIPR program to include roadside inspections of commercial vehicles, setting up a network of internal checkpoints and rolling out security procedures already active in airports, bus terminals and subway stations to roads and highways across the United States.
Up until now, commercial trucks and other vehicles only were subject to warrantless searches and radiation scans at specially designated “state-owned inspection stations” traditionally set up at rest stops next to highways. These internal checkpoints, run by Homeland Security, the Department of Transportation, and the TSA, involve trucks being scanned with backscatter x-ray devices in the name of “safety” and “counter terrorism”.
These inspection stations are now being expanded to normal roads and highways, unleashing an army of TSA agents who will be given a free hand to litter America with internal checkpoints in a chilling throwback to Soviet-style levels of control over the population.
“Inspectors from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) are likely to be more involved in roadside inspections of commercial vehicles, according to TSA officials,” reports the industry website BulkTransporter.com.
”VIPR (Visible Intermodal Prevention and Response) teams can be extremely effective, serving as a visible presence that is random and unpredictable,” says William Arrington with TSA. “VIPR teams are an essential part of protecting highway transportation vehicles and other critical infrastructures.”
The video below shows the truck inspections which will now be expanded to cover the country’s road and highway network.
The report also notes that, “VIPR team members may or may not be in uniform,” stoking fears about the use of secret police manning checkpoints which would be more befitting of the Soviet Union or the former East Germany.
As we have documented, airport security style checkpoints and inspection procedures are already in place at bus terminals, train stations, and are rapidly being expanded to the streets of America.
Since the launch of the Department of Homeland Security’s “See Something, Say Something” program, the DHS has also released promotional material which depicts would-be TSA agents conducting searches at public events, including a Buccaneers football game.
Homeland Security is also developing technology to be used at “security events” which purports to monitor “malintent” on behalf of an individual who passes through a checkpoint. The video below explains how “Future Attribute Screening Technology” (FAST) checkpoints will conduct “physiological” and “behavioral” tests in order to weed out suspected terrorists and criminals.
The clip shows individuals who attend “security events” being led into trailers before they are interrogated as to whether they are terrorists while lie detector-style computer programs analyze their physiological responses. The subjects are asked about their whereabouts, and if they are attempting to smuggle bombs or recording devices into the “expo,” proving that the technology is intended to be used at public events and not just airports.
Individuals who do not satisfy the first lie detector-style test are then asked “additional questions”.
If people think they can avoid the TSA by staying away from airports, they’re going to be in for a rude awakening. TSA is clearly engaged in a total takeover of society and plans to have its agents searching, patting down, scanning and harassing Americans at all levels of society, not just at transport hubs but at public events, in the street and on highways and roads across the country.
The implementation of ‘Checkpoint USA’, where citizens are routinely stopped, searched and radiated by federal VIPER teams is further evidence of how America is crumbling into a Soviet-style police state where the presumption of innocent until proven guilty is abolished and the 4th amendment eviscerated. The DHS program also represents a complete violation of the 10th Amendment in that it brazenly contravenes states’ rights.

Former semi-ambassador to the United Nations, John Bolton, has told Sean Hannity the Egyptian rebellion against the authoritarian dictator Hosni Mubarak should be used as a pretext to bomb Iran.
“Do you think that the Israelis are going to have to strike — they are going to have to take action?” Sean Hannity asked Bolton on his radio program Monday. “As you pointed out, ElBaradei ran cover for the Iranians for all those years that he was with the IAEA. And, I just don’t think the Israelis have much longer to wait… they’re going to have to act in fairly short order.”
“I think that’s right,” Bolton said. “I don’t think there’s much time to act. And I think the fall of a Egyptian government committed to the peace agreement will almost certainly speed that timetable up.”
Last week Bolton said “the real alternative is not Jefferson democracy versus the Mubarak regime, but that it’s the Muslim Brotherhood versus the Mubarak regime, and that has enormous implications for the US, for Israel, and our other friends in the region.”
The corporate media – and especially the concurrent neocon media – are now portraying the Muslim Brotherhood as a scary and threatening apparition poised to implement sharia law across the region and kill infidels.
“If the Obama administration decides to go along with the ascendancy of the Muslim Brotherhood under the guise of a ‘peoples’ coalition government, it will be pursuing yet another lethal engagement in its pursuit of approval in the Muslim world,” writes Joseph Klein.
“The Mubarak dictatorship is crumbling, the Muslim Brotherhood is warning that regimes will fall all over the Middle East and the radical left in America and internationally is cheering them on,” writes David Horowitz, the former Marxist turned neocon connected to CIA operative Richard Mellon Scaife.
Meanwhile, in Israel, apocalyptic doom is predicted for the moment after Mubarak falls. The Global Research in International Affairs Center claims that the Muslim Brotherhood has taken over most of the opposition once led by largely secular parties. “Even the most important past such organization, the Kifaya movement, has already been taken over by the Muslim Brotherhood,” Barry Rubin writes in a scary report claiming the ascendancy of the Brotherhood.
“They want an Islamist radical state, ruled by Sharia and at war with Israel and the United States,” Rubin continues. The Brotherhood and al-Qaeda are one in the same, the report argues.
The neocon propaganda outlet in Israel, The Jerusalem Post, cranks the fear-mongering up a level with dire warnings of war against the Jewish state. “A leading member of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt told the Arabic-language Iranian news network Al-Alam on Monday that he would like to see the Egyptian people prepare for war against Israel, according to the Hebrew-language business newspaper Calcalist,” writes Yaakov Lappin.
Muhammad Ghannem reportedly told Al-Alam that the Suez Canal should be closed immediately, and that the flow of gas from Egypt to Israel should cease “in order to bring about the downfall of the Mubarak regime.” He added that “the people should be prepared for war against Israel,” saying the world should understand that “the Egyptian people are prepared for anything to get rid of this regime.”Even so-called liberals who support Israel are beating the drums. “The Brotherhood remains the only well-organized institution in Egypt other than the military. It has been underground for generations – jailed, tortured, infiltrated, but still, somehow, flourishing. Its moment may be approaching,” writes Richard Cohen in a Washington Post op-ed.
Cohen is on to something, although he probably does not know it. The Muslim Brotherhood was indeed infiltrated – and not recently, but many years ago.
As Peter Goodgame has exhaustively documented, the Muslim Brotherhood is a prized secret weapon of the globalists. Both the CIA and British intelligence penetrated the group and used it to fight against Arab nationalism, in particular early on nationalism promoted by Egypt’s Nasser.
“The CIA was following the example of British Intelligence and sought to use Islam to further its goals,” writes Goodgame. “They wanted to find a charismatic religious leader that they could promote and control and they began to cooperate with groups such as the Muslim Brotherhood. With the rise of Nasser the Brotherhood was also courted more seriously by the pro-Western Arab regimes of Saudi Arabia and Jordan. They needed all the popular support that they could muster against the rise of Nasser-inspired Arab nationalism to keep their regimes intact.”
Prior to the First World War, British Intelligence cultivated ties with the Brotherhood through agent Freya Stark, a British adventurer and writer.Officially the Brotherhood was an outlawed organization, but it remained influential and active within Egypt working against the secular regime, often hand-in-hand with British Intelligence. In June of 1955 MI6 was already approaching the Brotherhood in Syria to agitate against the new government that showed strong left-wing tendencies and a desire to merge with Egypt. The Brotherhood became an even more important asset after Nasser announced the Egyptian takeover of the Suez [Canal].
“These covert connections were used to keep track of the growing German presence in North Africa and to stay informed of the many different political movements that were springing up,” notes the Aangirfan blog. “The Muslim Brotherhood spread throughout the Muslim world and has evolved into something like a Muslim equivalent of the West’s Masonic brotherhood. It became one of the first Islamic Fundamentalist terror organizations.”
It is well documented that Israel has also supported and funded the Brotherhood through Hamas, but this inconvenient fact has been studiously ignored by the corporate media.
Israel’s support for Hamas “was a direct attempt to divide and dilute support for a strong, secular PLO by using a competing religious alternative,” a former senior CIA official told Richard Sale of UPI in 2002. The UPI obtained documents from the Israel-based Institute for Counter Terrorism that reveal how Hamas evolved from cells of the Muslim Brotherhood. Curiously, the original UPI report has found its way to the memory hole.
Israel, along with Jordan, supported a Brotherhood effort to take down Syria’s secular government in 1976. Israel supported training camps for the Muslim Brotherhood in Lebanon and Jordan near the Syrian border. Over a five year period, the Brotherhood assassinated hundreds of Alawite members of Assad’s ruling Ba’ath Party along with their relatives, Assad’s personal doctor, and a number of Soviet advisers, according to Newsweek.
Although al-Qaeda has denounced the Brotherhood’s supposed reform through nonviolence and accused the supposed terror group named after a Mujahideen database of “betraying the cause of Islam and abandoning their ‘jihad’ in favor of forming political parties and supporting modern state institutions,” the alleged number two leader of the CIA created organization, Ayman al-Zawahiri, joined the Brotherhood in Egypt as a teenager.
Osama bin Laden’s mentor, Abdullah Azzam, was connected to both the Brotherhood and the CIA. Azzam, according to Columbia University professor Barnett Rubin, was considered a prime asset because of his “close connections to the Muslim Brotherhood, Saudi intelligence, and the Muslim World League.”
Osama’s family also had connections. Mohammed Jamal Khalifa, his brother-in-law, was a senior member of the Muslim Brotherhood in Lebanon and ran the Peshawar, Pakistan, office of the Muslim World League, where he was active in sending recruits to fight the Soviets in Afghanistan in the 1980s.
Alleged 9/11 hijacking ring leader Mohamed Atta joined the Muslim Brotherhood in 1990. “At every stage in Atta’s journey is the Muslim Brotherhood,” a former CIA officer told Seymour Hersh of the New Yorker in 2003.
The Muslim Brotherhood is a vital component of the globalist intelligence conglomerate and its long running and ongoing campaign to create and exploit Islamic terror. John Bolton’s argument about the Brotherhood and its role in the unfolding Egyptian revolution reveals a neocon strategy designed to exploit that event in order to fear-monger, insert new life in the war on manufactured terror, and once again vilify Iran.
The corporate media is all too willing to hype the Brotherhood angle and stoke the flames of Islamic paranoia used so effectively in the wake of September 11, 2001. The corporate media, after all, gets the lion’s share of its cues from the Pentagon. It serves as both a propaganda conduit and psychological operations base for the military-industrial-intelligence complex.

Veteran weather modification expert Ben Livingston is a former Navy Physicist who briefed President Lyndon B. Johnson on the effectiveness of weather control back in the 1960′s during the Vietnam era, when he was involved in cloud seeding programs that worked to slow down the advance of Vietnamese and Korean troops. Livingston asserts that asserts that hurricane control was a national priority of the government more than 40 years ago and that the technology was fully operational to control the weather at the time.
In this exclusive interview for Prison Planet.tv subscribers, Livingston explains how for decades the US government has had the power to both lessen and increase the severity of adverse weather for their own purposes.
Dr Livingston was assigned in 1966 from the Naval weapons research Laboratory to a marine fighter squadron in Vietnam. Instead of guns, the aircraft under Livingston’s control were fitted with cloud seeding equipment. “My mission was to find clouds and seed them for maximum precipitation value” he stated.
Dr Livingston presents evidence from the Stanford research Institute, who were brought into Project Storm Fury (a weather control program) in the late sixties as a third party, which stated conclusively that knowledge of how to stop hurricanes had been uncovered and that they would be directly liable should a hurricane hit and cause extensive damage and loss of life. Four decades later and Livingston exposes how the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina could have been greatly minimized but was allowed to fully impact Gulf states for political reasons.
Having personally flown on 265 missions into the eyes of hurricanes, Livingston remarks that he was “disgusted” by the failure to lessen the impact of Katrina. Livingston’s revelations that weather control has been a decades long program in which the US government has been deeply involved are particularly alarming given the abundant modern-day evidence of how chemtrails are being used to warp our environment in a secret geoengineering plot that threatens a myriad of unknown human health and ecological consequences.

Sana’a, Yemen – Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh is to address an emergency meeting of the two chambers of the parliament on Wednesday, one day ahead a ‘day of rage’ called for by opposition parties, official sources said.
The sources told the German Press Agency dpa that Saleh has called for a joint meeting of the country’s House of Deputies and Shura Council.
Saleh was to discuss ‘issues and developments of interest to the nation and citizens’ with parliamentarians, the official Saba news agency reported.

The U.N. human rights chief said on Tuesday she had unconfirmed reports that up to 300 people may have been killed and over 3,000 injured in the unrest that has engulfed Egypt for the past week.
The U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights, Navi Pillay, was appalled by reported death toll and injury count, saying, “I urge the Egyptian authorities to ensure police and other security forces scrupulously avoid excessive use of force.”
Pillay urged investigations into the role of security forces during the violence and their sudden disappearance from the streets of Cairo, leaving what she described as a “security vacuum.”

The impending expiration of a key technology patent is paving the way for a scramble amongst scores of biometrics research and development companies, all desperate to make their own brand of iris scanning technology commonplace, effectively creating a real life Minority Report society, where everyone is linked into an identification database.
As detailed in a Bloomberg News report today, the patent for recording the unique characteristics of the Iris as a form of identification was granted to two eye doctors in 1987, who then approached a Cambridge University professor to develop a way of automating iris identification. That further patent was granted in 1994, but it expires this year, opening a door for a slew of technological nightmares to come pouring through.
Leading marketing companies believe that within the next five years, iris recognition technology will create over $2 billion in revenue by becoming a routine part of everyday life.
The technology is already being used for screening employees of Bank of America, travelers at London’s Heathrow Airport and New York City prisoners.
The Department of Homeland Security has tested iris scanners at a Border Patrol station in McAllen, Texas, while the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is developing standards for the technology’s use.
One company, Hoyos Corp., “wants to make the technology ubiquitous,” according to the Bloomberg report. Chief Development Officer Jeff Carter says the company foresees iris scanners on mobile phones and computers, and even on ATMs, to be used as a replacement for bank cards.
Last year the company, then known as Global Rainmakers Inc. (GRI), based out of headquarters in New York, announced that it was using the technology to create what it claims will be “the most secure city in the world” in Leon, one of Mexico’s largest cities.
So called “eye swipe” machines, which come in a variety of different shapes and sizes, are to be hooked up to a huge iris database created in conjunction with Leon law enforcement authorities.
Leon is effectively a testing ground for the mass rollout of the technology.
“In the future, whether it’s entering your home, opening your car, entering your workspace, getting a pharmacy prescription refilled, or having your medical records pulled up, everything will come off that unique key that is your iris,” Carter explained to tech website FastCompany.com.
According to the article, “Criminals will automatically be enrolled, their irises scanned once convicted. Law-abiding citizens will have the option to opt-in.”
Yet Carter seems confident that everyone, whether a criminal or not will soon be hooked into the database:
“Every person, place, and thing on this planet will be connected [to the iris system] within the next 10 years,” he says.
In Carter’s hideous control freak vision of the future, anyone withdrawing cash, paying for items in a store or simply catching a bus will have to stare directly into the beast system while “Police officers will monitor these scans and track the movements of watch-listed individuals.”
Carter even alludes to Philip K. Dick’s Minority Report, noting that the system will operate to a degree even more controlling than in the cult classic dystopian story.
Not even the “dead eyeballs” seen in Minority Report could trick the system, he says. “If you’ve been convicted of a crime, in essence, this will act as a digital scarlet letter. If you’re a known shoplifter, for example, you won’t be able to go into a store without being flagged. For others, boarding a plane will be impossible.”
The technology is also evolving rapidly. Newer scanners are able to capture the Iris from a distance of ten feet. “Future devices might read irises from more than 30 feet, said Tim Meyerhoff, North American business development director for Iris ID Systems Inc.,”, another of the 20 or so companies set to push iris scanning into everyday life.
The newest machines are also able to process hundreds of iris scans per minute, meaning they can be used effectively in crowded public places.

There isn’t even any pretence of a benign agenda behind this – it is a bold in your face admission of a plan to force every human being into a big brother system by hooking it up to the essential amenities and infrastructure of the city. The stated aim is to monitor everyone, everywhere, all the time – the perfect technological matrix-like prison system.
This system is the ultimate perversion of humanity, taking what makes us all unique and using it to catalogue every one of us as if we are sheep or cattle on a plantation. It represents the screaming death knell of freedom.
Mr Carter and Hoyos Corp. don’t care about that though, they would like you to believe that your privacy and your basic freedoms were long ago completely extinguished , so resistance is futile:
“The banks already know more about what we do in our daily life–they know what we eat, where we go, what we purchase–our deepest secrets,” he says. “We’re not talking about anything different here–just a system that’s good for all of us.”
Hoyos CEO and founder, Hector Hoyos, echoes Carter’s pronouncement, noting “You really can’t control technology. Oppenheimer and Einstein said it. The cat’s out of the bag. You can try to put certain protocols in place and hope that people who get their hands on technology abide by your protocols. That’s all you can do.”
Essentially, Hoyos is saying that if the bad guys get their hands on the technology, tough luck. Of course, it’s easier to live with that potential scenario if you’re sitting on a sizeable chunk of the $2 billion a year and rising revenue than if you’re one of the slaves in the database having their eyes scanned everywhere they go.
Carter also has a warning for any sheep who think they can stray from the flock:
“When you get masses of people opting-in, opting out does not help. Opting out actually puts more of a flag on you than just being part of the system. We believe everyone will opt-in.”
Carter even speaks of tailoring the technology to “enable advertisers to track behavior and emotion” by scanning people’s eyes from when they look at a billboard to when they enter a store and purchase the product.
The Minority Report was written as a stark warning of what may happen in the future should society be engulfed by invasive technology and begin to regard privacy and civil liberties as antiquated. Yet increasingly it, and other works like it, have become the handbooks for those who would gladly see the planet fully transformed into a giant fascist control grid if it means they can swim in the filthy meaningless lucre and revel in the pathetic soulless power trip it will generate for them.
This technology is here now – it is not some paranoid geek’s frightening description of a distant future. it is time to wake up, take note of what our society is being transformed into and ensure our freedoms are not completely wiped out before it is too late.

The peaceful, carnival-like atmosphere that prevailed during massive demonstrations on Tuesday gave way to a tense, charged standoff between pro-democracy demonstrators and thousands of Mubarak supporters who had been bused in.
The two sides threw rocks and chunks of cement at each other, with several people reported injured. Soldiers posted around the square did not immediately intervene.

I have had it with Wikileaks. I am fully convinced that Wikileaks is a Counter Intelligence Program and a Psychological Operation by either CIA, MI6 or Mossad.
The CIA/MI6/Mossad have trashed their reputation, which has caused their scare tactics to ware off. They have created a new “credible” source like Wikileaks to dump their same old tired lies through them. Seriously, how difficult would it have been for the CIA to grab some hacker and play good cop, bad cop with him. They could say, “we got you good and we are going to throw you in jail for the rest of your life. Or you can work with us and we will wipe away all of your charges.” It works with low level mafia thugs, why not on a global scale where the stakes are that much higher. Even in the Matrix had a scene just like this.
Wikileaks has all of the power to spread the truth on the internet and all of the secrecy that the Elite uses. When this site first came on the scene, I’ll admit that I bought it hook line and sinker. A group of rich, sophisticated hackers that want to shed light on everything the Elite want to keep secret… “That is awesome!” I knew in the beginning that their intelligence dumps would not be big or yield much of a result. It is the nature of the beast in this business. No one will stick their neck out for you, until you have some street credibility.
Wikileaks went from damaging attack helicopter video of murdered civilians, to petty school girl chatter about foreign diplomats to finally, outright propaganda.
I’ve given Wikileaks the benefit of the doubt, even up until a week or two ago in my Beware of the Patriot Pied Pipers article. In my article, I had listed about 20 things that would really hack at the root of the Elite’s power. I practically pleaded with them to, “Get me something to rock the world out of it’s slumber.” Let’s face it, when Wikileak’s intelligence dumps sound like the same shit that NeoCons used to scare the American people into Iraq and Afghanistan, it is time to judge a tree by it’s fruit.
Look at today’s Drudge Report headline, “Wikileaks: ‘Al-Qaida On Brink Of Using Nuke Bomb.” This is right out of the same play book of 2003, with all the talk of mushroom clouds and yellow cake. This is why I think Wikileaks is a front for the same guys that brought you 9 years of senseless wars. No one really believes the State Department and CIA anymore. Certainly not after Colin”Slam Dunk” Powell destroyed not only his reputation, but that of America when he went before the UN to make the case for preemptive war. So, they created Wikileaks to to be a “legitimate” source of information.
Or what about this headline about the spooky 9/11 gang that got away… A DECADE AGO! Really, what internet blogger/hacker would publish stuff like this? Wikileak’s sole purpose was to expose secrets and not push propaganda.
There are thousands of sites on the internet showing pretty damning evidence that 9/11 was an inside job. Yet, here is Wikileaks, the biggest, baddest site in the Freedom Movement, publishing stuff that would give Ruppert Murdoch a boner? It is time to judge a tree by it’s fruit.
This has created a new Hegelian Dialectic, where the Elite give us two false choices to choose from. Both options are controlled by the Elite in order to benefit themselves. It is designed to fool us with the ability to choose the lesser of two evils.
Socialism or Fascism, never a Constitutional Republic.
Democrats or Republicans, never a true Independent.

I am interested in what happens with the Openleaks. Again, this sounds awesome on the face of it. It has one key feature that sets it apart from Wikileaks, it is a decentralized approach of leaking info. Wikileaks uses the same sort of centralized secrecy that they supposedly are fighting against.
Openleaks gets rid of the centralized and secretive approach and replace it with a decentralized, open approach as explained in their introductory video.

One final thought. I have been warning you about how the Egyptian Revolution and the National Tea Party movement will fail. I say this because they have no idea what they are up against. I wrote that the National Tea Party will fail because of the same power that has infiltrated, corrupted, and destroyed both the Republican and Democratic parties, are now doing the same to the Tea Party. Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, a highly controversial figure in US politics, suggested this week that President Barack Obama’s handing of the revolution in Egypt “correctly,” despite objections from Israel.
“We have been acting correctly,” he told Bloomberg TV during a Tuesday broadcast. “We have been playing catch-up, but so is everybody else.”
President Obama has, according to published reports, played a key diplomatic role in persuading Egypt’s military to stand down, and urged President Hosni Mubarak to not seek reelection.

The corporate media today is chock full of stories about the latest round of supposed diplomatic documents purloined by a low level Army intelligence analyst. According to the documents, the CIA asset al-Qaeda has managed to acquire “workable and efficient” biological and chemical weapons and the West stands on the brink of a “nuclear 9/11.” It is said the documents detail a 2009 NATO meeting where security chiefs briefed member states that al-CIA-duh was readying “dirty radioactive IEDs” to be used against British troops in Afghanistan.
Corporate media sings praise for Assange and his disinfo campaign.
Dirty bombs were debunked years ago and it is surprising the folks behind the fake diplomatic cables are attempting to pawn this fantasy off on us again as they did in 2002 when former Chicago gangbanger Jose Padilla was arrested and paraded in the corporate media as the face of al-Qaeda in America.
Once again, Pakistan figures prominently in this scary fairy tale. “Senior British defense officials have raised ‘deep concerns’ that a rogue scientist in the Pakistani nuclear program ‘could gradually smuggle enough material out to make a weapon,” according to a document detailing official talks in London in February 2009,” the Daily Telegraph reported yesterday.
Left out of the equation is the fact Pakistan would not have nuclear weapons if not for the United States.
Back in 1979, as the CIA was in the process of cobbling together the Afghan Mujahideen that would later become al-Qaeda, the globalist and Rockefeller minion Zbigniew Brzezinski forged a new policy toward the formerly pariah Islamic state. Brzezinski said “that our security policy toward Pakistan cannot be dictated by our nonproliferation policy.” Reagan also didn’t see a problem. “I just don’t think it’s any of our business,” he remarked when quizzed about Pakistan’s nuclear ambitions.
Moreover, the supposed smuggling of nuclear material out of Pakistan would face difficulty due to the fact the country’s nukes are locked down.
“Over the past six years, the Bush administration has spent almost $100 million on a highly classified program to help Gen. Pervez Musharraf, Pakistan’s president, secure his country’s nuclear weapons, according to current and former senior administration officials,” the New York Times reported on November 17, 2007. “The secret program was designed by the Energy Department and the State Department, and it drew heavily from the effort over the past decade to secure nuclear weapons, stockpiles and materials in Russia and other former Soviet states. Much of the money for Pakistan was spent on physical security, like fencing and surveillance systems, and equipment for tracking nuclear material if it left secure areas.”
In addition to dirty bombs, terrorists are planning to blow up commercial airliners with teddy bears, according to the Wikileaks documents. “Airport security staff are being urged to examine ‘children’s articles’ after US intelligence concluded that terrorists were plotting to fill them with explosive chemicals,” reports the Daily Telegraph.

Here is a detail that has been previously disclosed (although assiduously ignored by the corporate media) – Osama bin Laden and the Taliban shared “intimate relations” with the Pentagon and U.S. intelligence right up until the morning of September 11, 2001, according to the most gagged woman in America, former FBI translator Sibel Edmonds.
The CIA groomed manufactured enemies from China to Chechnya, Albania, and Kosovo, Edmonds revealed, but you won’t find that in Assange’s mass of documents.
For all its dutiful work in the service of the globalist empire, Wikileaks has been nominated for the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize by Norwegian politician Snorre Valen, who said the shady outfit played an instrumental role in freedom of speech.
“WikiLeaks is one of this century’s most important contributors to freedom of speech and transparency,” the NTB news agency quoted Valen as saying today.
It also played a role in perpetuating cover stories used by government as pretexts to further erode our liberties and engage in wanton mass murder around the world.

The federal government is sending workers and equipment to at least 11 states as a winter storm bears down on a wide swath of the country, the White House said Tuesday.
With storm watches and blizzard warnings up over most of the continental U.S., the Federal Emergency Management Agency is sending its disaster response specialists in advance to Arkansas, Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island. The agency is also positioning supplies in advance, including water, meals, blankets, cots and generators.
Sending people and supplies into the field in advance of a storm — regardless of whether it’s expected to make a severe impact — is one of the major operational changes made by FEMA in the wake of its botched response to Hurricane Katrina. Such deployments are made without formal disaster requests by governors, but state officials must agree to allow federal personnel to join them at state emergency operation centers.

CNN anchor Anderson Cooper and his crew were attacked by pro-Mubarak supporters in Cairo on Wednesday, according to news reports. Cooper was hit in the head numerous times.
Cooper went on the air soon after the attack and appeared unhurt. “The crowd set upon us,” Anderson explained and added he and his crew were “kicked and punched pretty well … before the mob forced us to seek safety.”
The incident came as pro-Mubarak supporters attacked protesters calling for the Egyptian president to resign and leave the country. Speaking on “American Morning” after the attack, Cooper said that he and his crew had been trying to go to a neutral zone between the two groups.
On Tuesday, Human Rights Watch confirmed several cases of undercover police loyal to Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak’s regime committing acts of violence and looting.

Newly released Wikileaks documents concerning the activities of three Qatari men who conducted surveillance of the World Trade Center and boarded flights on the eve of the 9/11 attacks adds to the plethora of evidence that at the very least US authorities were aware of the plot and deliberately stood down.
“The FBI has launched a manhunt for a previously unknown team of men suspected to be part of the 9/11 attacks,” reports the Daily Telegraph.
Secret documents reveal that the three Qatari men conducted surveillance on the targets, provided “support” to the plotters and had tickets for a flight to Washington on the eve of the atrocities.
Ten days later they flew to Los Angeles, where they stationed themselves in a hotel near the airport which the FBI has now established was paid for by a “convicted terrorist”, who also paid for their airline tickets.
Hotel staff have told investigators they saw pilot uniforms in their room along with computer print outs detailing pilot names, flight numbers and times and packages addressed to Syria, Afghanistan, Jerusalem and Jordan.The revelation that these men may have been involved in the pre-planning for 9/11 again highlights the fact that the plot was known ahead of time. Whether they were double agents laying a trail for the attack to be later blamed on Muslim patsies or they were genuinely part of the plot is immaterial, the fact that their behavior, amidst a myriad of other obvious indications that an attack was imminent, was not acted upon by US authorities, provides yet more evidence of a stand down.
The US Special Operations Command’s Able Danger program identified the hijackers and their accomplices long before 9/11, but when the head of the program, Colonel Anthony Shaffer, tried to pass the information on to the 9/11 Commission, he was gagged and slandered and the vital information his team had passed on was ignored and buried.
Curt Weldon, Former U.S. Republican Congressman and senior member of the House Armed Services Committee, documented how the US government tracked the hijackers’ movements before 9/11.
Louai al-Sakka, the man who trained six of the hijackers, was a CIA informant. A number of the other alleged hijackers were trained at US air bases. In the months prior to 9/11, alleged hijackers Khalid Almidhar and Nawaf Alhazmi were renting rooms in a house owned and lived in by an FBI informant.
In a 2002 article entitled The Hijackers We Let Escape, Newsweek’s Michael Isikoff and Daniel Klaidman documented how, “The CIA tracked two suspected terrorists to a Qaeda summit in Malaysia in January 2000, then looked on as they re-entered America and began preparations for September 11.”
The fact that there were numerous Al-Qaeda affiliated terrorists involved in the pre-planning stages of 9/11 is unsurprising given former FBI translator Sibel Edmonds’ testimony that Bin Laden was working for the US right up until the day of 9/11.
On the very morning of 9/11, the money man behind the alleged hijackers, Pakistan’s ISI Chief Mahmoud Ahmad, was meeting with U.S. government and intelligence officials.
Indeed, even after 9/11, the so-called spiritual leader of the very hijackers who allegedly slammed Flight 77 into the Pentagon, Anwar al-Awlaki, was himself invited to dine with Pentagon top brass mere months after the attack.
Al-Awlaki was later involved in directing the underwear bomber, who was allowed to board the plane by order of the US State Department aided by a well-dressed man who got Abdulmutallab on the airliner despite the fact that he was on a terror watch list and had no passport. Eyewitness and Delta 253 passenger Kurt Haskell subsequently blew the whistle to state that Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab was given the bomb by the US government to create a pretext for the implementation of naked body scanners and boost the TSA’s budget.
While there has been plenty of focus on possible connections between other Muslim terror suspects and the alleged 9/11 hijackers, little has been said about the role of the infamous “dancing Israelis” who brazenly displayed their foreknowledge of the plot after they were witnessed setting up camera equipment pointed at the World Trade Center before the attack unfolded.
When the planes slammed into the towers, the men were seen dancing, cheering and congratulating each other.
The details of these new Wikileaks documents only serve to confirm that there were numerous drills and preparatory actions taking place immediately prior to 9/11 indicating that an attack was imminent. What the Telegraph and the rest of the establishment media will refuse to mention in any of these reports is the confirmed fact that through Able Danger and other intelligence operations, these events were being closely tracked by US authorities.
Add to this the complete reversal of standard operating procedure on the day of 9/11 in relation to NORAD’s failure to intercept any of the hijacked airliners, and the evidence for a government and military stand down which at the very least allowed the attack to take place is abundant.

CAIRO – Human Rights Watch confirmed several cases of undercover police loyal to Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak’s regime committing acts of violence and looting in an attempt to stoke fear of instability as demonstrations grew stronger Tuesday against the autocratic leader.
Peter Bouckaert, the emergency director at Human Rights Watch, said hospitals confirmed that they received several wounded looters shot by the army carrying police identification cards. They also found several cases of looters and vandals in Cairo and Alexandria with police identification cards. He added that it was “unexplainable” that thousands of prisoners escaped from prisons over the weekend.
