Bill O’Reilly: Who Is Alex Jones?

Bill O’Reilly: Who Is Alex Jones?

During a discussion on Charlie Sheen, Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly mentioned Alex Jones’ appearance on The View. He didn’t bother to mention Jones by name.

O’Reilly said Jones is merely “some guy on the radio, we really don’t know who he is,” and his co-host during the segment, Arthel Neville, chuckled.

O’Reilly knows who Jones is. Fox News pays close attention to the Alex Jones Show. Fox darling Glenn Beck takes most of his licks from Alex Jones, a fact recently pointed out by Rolling Stone.

Fox is a dinosaur in decline. Just a couple years ago, O’Reilly had an audience of three million. It has since dwindled to a million. People are tired of arrogant and preening hot air bags like O’Reilly. Millions are flocking to the web and alternative media to get their information and news.

The success of the Alex Jones Show bugs Media Matters, the establishment Democrat funded and controlled research and propaganda center that takes money from globalists like George Soros. Media Matter is the “liberal” voice of Wall Street and the banksters, the very force that is destroying America. It is the left side of the false right-left paradigm. It is headed up by the warmonger John Podesta, a former Clintonite. His Center for American Progress enthusiastically advocates mass murder in Afghanistan, a fact once again demonstrating that establishment Democrats and Republicans are on the same page when it comes to slaughtering brown people in distant foreign lands in the name of globalism and the international loan sharks.

Media Matters keeps harping on the fact that Fox News host and staunch constitutionalist Judge Napolitano has befriended Jones and agrees that the establishment – both parties, not merely the Democrats – are shredding the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

It irks the limo libs at Media Matters that Jones points out the truth about Obama – he is a warmonger continuing the Bush agenda and under his teleprompter reading term he will be the front man for a yet another globalist war. It is now beginning to take shape in the Middle East and North Africa.

Fox News, Bill O’Reilly, David Brock, Media Matters – all are babbling heads on a corporate media hydra that pumps out establishment propaganda.

The numbers do not lie. Bill O’Reilly, Fox News, MSNBC, CNN and their coiffured and well-paid talking heads are in steep decline. People are refusing to listen. They are increasingly tuning in to the alternative media and this drives David Brock and George Soros crazy.

Justices Hear 9/11 Detention Case

Justices Hear 9/11 Detention Case

Wall Street Journal
March 5, 2011

WASHINGTON—Supreme Court justices appeared skeptical of an attempt to sue former Attorney General John Ashcroft over allegations that he abused federal law by detaining dozens of people in the months after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

The court heard arguments Wednesday in the case of Abdullah al-Kidd, a U.S. citizen who was detained and subjected to travel restrictions after being deemed a potential witness in a terror investigation. Mr. al-Kidd is suing the U.S. government and federal officials, including Mr. Ashcroft, saying his detention was an abuse of federal law.

The case centers on the roundup in 2001 and 2002 of hundreds of mostly Muslim men as U.S. law-enforcement officials scrambled to avert a possible follow-up attack. Prosecutors used a federal law allowing a person to be held as a “material witness” if needed to ensure their availability to testify.

NASA Scientist Claims Evidence of Alien Life on Meteorite

We are not alone in the universe — and alien life forms may have a lot more in common with life on Earth than we had previously thought.

That’s the stunning conclusion one NASA scientist has come to, releasing his groundbreaking revelations in a new study in the March edition of the Journal of Cosmology.

Dr. Richard B. Hoover, an astrobiologist with NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center, has traveled to remote areas in Antarctica, Siberia, and Alaska, amongst others, for over ten years now, collecting and studying meteorites. He gave FoxNews.com early access to the out-of-this-world research, published late Friday evening in the March edition of the Journal of Cosmology. In it, Hoover describes the latest findings in his study of an extremely rare class of meteorites, called CI1 carbonaceous chondrites — only nine such meteorites are known to exist on Earth.

Britain is to send teams of spies and diplomats into Libya to help oust Colonel Gaddafi, it emerged last night.

MI6 operatives backed by the SAS are to land in the east around the key rebel stronghold of Benghazi ‘within days’.

In addition, 600 soldiers of the Black Watch are on 24-hour standby to fly in and avert a humanitarian catastrophe as Libya erupted into a new wave of bloodshed.

[...]

The liaison teams will be primarily composed of envoys but will include some intelligence officers.

They will link up with Special Forces already in Libya to provide protection and give informal military advice to the Libyan opposition.

The teams are said to be there ‘primarily’ to gather information. But they will advise the rebels on how to secure a handover of power and set up a democratic government.

‘Once we get to the stage where we have a transition, part of what we’re looking at is supporting that transition,’ a source said.

Britain has also stepped up its military preparations, sending the frigate Westminster and the Royal Fleet Auxiliary ship Argus to the area.

Cenk Uygur, MSNBC talking head, demonstrates how dishonest liberals can be when making arguments that the government has the right to steal your money at gunpoint. In an interview with Rep. Ron Paul, he characterizes a tax cut for the oil industry as a subsidy. Dr. Paul sets him right:

Mr. Uygur is a prime example of the interchangeability of Democrats and Republicans (as noted by Ron Paul in the above video). Uygur was once a registered Republican, Ronald Reagan supporter, and a member of the Federalist Society who backed killing Iraqis during Bush Senior’s first so-called Gulf War.

He is now an MSNBC liberal who thinks Obama is not “progressive” enough. Uygur believes the “Blue Dog Democrats” are “centrist” (whatever that means) and has labeled “conservative” Democrats as “corporatists.” Meanwhile, he works for MSNBC, a corporation owned by NBCUniversal, in turned owned by the death merchant General Electric, the second largest corporation in the world.

It is relatively easy to flip from one side of the Bankster Party coin to the other when you embrace statist politics.

Rolling Stone: Glenn Beck Rips Off Alex Jones

Rolling Stone Magazine has posted a part two to follow up on its profile of Alex Jones earlier this week, a feature that also appears in the print edition of the publication.

In this article, writer Alexander Zaitchik asks if Glenn Beck has been ripping off Alex Jones by using Jones’ information but then injecting it with his own lies and spin. After listing seven different aspects in which Beck is charged with ripping off Jones, Zaitchik concludes that the Fox News host has indeed borrowed Jones’ material to create “bastardized versions of theories and facts originally found on the Alex Jones Show.”

This is unsurprising given the fact that we have been told directly by people inside Fox News that one of the primary roles of Beck’s researchers is to monitor the Alex Jones Show in order to later rip off our material.

Texas Plans to Implement REAL ID in 2013

Texas Plans to Implement REAL ID in 2013

Kurt Nimmo
Infowars.com
March 4, 2011

Tela Mange, Chief of Media Relations at Texas Department of Public Safety, has responded to an Infowars.com request for information on the state’s implementation of REAL ID.

The REAL ID Act was enacted by Congress on May 11, 2005, without significant debate. It modifies U.S. federal law pertaining to security, authentication, and issuance procedures standards for state driver’s licenses and ID cards.

In response to numerous states resisting compliance, the federal government has extended the deadline several times. In 2007, Maine and Utah led the way in passing resolutions refusing implementation.

Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and Washington have joined Maine and Utah in passing legislation opposing Real ID.

Similar resolutions are pending in Alaska, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Washington, D.C., West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

See National ID and the REAL ID Act at the Electronic Privacy Information Center for more details.

According to Mange, the timeframe for implementation in Texas has changed to January 15, 2013. “DPS is planning to follow the standards established to ensure that we issue secure credentials,” she wrote in an email.

“There are no new biometric requirements,” she added in a follow-up email.
On March 1, 2007, the Department of Homeland Security issued a NPRM (Notice of Proposed Rule Making) for the Real ID Act that detailed the minimum data elements required. It did not require a state to include biometric technology in its driver’s licenses.

Mange was contacted after she was quoted by CNET News. “We’re still reading the fine print,” she said in response to a question about the status of the law and its implementation in Texas.

REAL ID was in the news this week after House Republican sent a letter to DHS boss Janet Napolitano. The republicans said that “any further extension of Real ID threatens the security of the United States.”

Unless Homeland Security grants an extension, the law’s requirements take effect on May 11, CNET notes. According to reports, DHS is considering pushing back the deadline a further 21 months to January 15, 2013.

Reps. Lamar Smith, Peter King, and Jim Sensenbrenner argued in the letter that federal criminal charges of attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction against Khalid Ali-M Aldawsari in Texas make implementation of the law even more necessary. “The goal of the REAL ID Act is to prevent another 9/11-type attack by disrupting terrorist travel,” they argue.

The Homeland Security Department paid contractors millions of dollars to develop and study surveillance systems that could covertly track pedestrians and check under people’s clothing with airport-style body scanners as they enter train stations, bus depots or major events, newly released documents show.

Two contracts the department signed in 2005 and 2006 were part of its effort to acquire technology to find suicide bombers in a crowd of moving people, according to documents given to the Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC), a privacy-rights group that is suing Homeland Security.

The department dropped the projects in a “very early” phase after testing showed flaws, Homeland Security spokesman Bobby Whithorne says.

EPIC lawyer Ginger McCall says the project is disturbing nonetheless because it shows the department “obviously believed that this level of surveillance is acceptable when in fact it is not at all acceptable.”

Big Brother: The Orwellian Nightmare Come True

Big Brother: The Orwellian Nightmare Come True

Mark Dice
Infowars.com
March 4, 2011

When George Orwell (pen name of Eric Blair) first published his famous novel, Nineteen Eighty-Four, it was the year 1949, and it told a dark story of what he envisioned life may be like in the future-in the year 1984. His book, as well as his name, have become synonymous with privacy concerns involving technology and also an all-powerful, oppressive ruling elite that strictly governs the activities of the population with an iron fist.

Orwell’s book is where we get the term Big Brother from, such as when people say “Big Brother is watching you.” When people say this, they’re referring to the omniscient surveillance system described in the novel that continuously watched and listened to people-even in their own homes. When we call something Orwellian to describe the invasiveness of certain technology or government policies, we are also referring to George Orwell’s nightmarish vision he described in his novel. There are several other terms that Orwell himself coined in Nineteen Eighty-Four, such as doublethink, thoughtcrime, and memory hole, which have also become part of our vernacular.

Even if you have not read the book or seen the film, you are still undoubtedly familiar with the issues that make up the storyline, such as the high-tech surveillance system watching and listening to everyone in order to keep them in line with the government (called the Party in the novel). You are probably also familiar with the concept of a small elite ruling class (what Orwell calls the Inner Party) living in luxury and wielding unimaginable power over lower level citizens. In the novel, people have lost their freedom, their critical thinking skills, and even the ability to love due to the cultural depths society has sunk to as a result of Big Brother’s control. The reason Nineteen Eighty-Four remains so popular, and the reason society has adopted vocabulary from the book, is because it serves as more than merely a fictional novel for the reader’s entertainment. The novel served (and continues to serve) as a stark warning of what the future may hold if we don’t resist invasive technology and oppressive government policies, or if the population at large becomes so lost in a world of pop culture, sports entertainment, or our own selfish desires, that we simply don’t care.

My new non-fiction book, Big Brother: The Orwellian Nightmare Come True, looks at technology that now exists or is under development and will exist in the near future, that threatens to make our world just as horrific or even worse than the world George Orwell described. I have assembled information from mainstream news sources, industry experts, and even patent numbers of the most invasive and sinister Orwellian devices anyone could dream of. We will also look at actual government programs and policies that seem as if they came right out of Orwell’s dark imagination, such as the government secretly paying mainstream media reporters to act as gate-keepers and propagandists for the establishment, and the FBI illegally spying on and smearing peaceful political activists who were seen as problematic.

I am certainly not anti-technology. Technology is a fantastic tool which can benefit those who use it, or harm them, depending on the intentions of the person designing it or using it. Technology has brought us amazing inventions that would seem supernatural to civilizations that lived just a few hundred years ago. Arthur C. Clark, the author of 2001 a Space Odyssey, was correct when he said, “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.” While this magical technology has brought us the convenience of calling our friends or family on our cell phones, allowing us to talk with them from virtually anywhere in the world, and given us the ability to watch events on the other side of the earth unfold live on television, and other wonders such as the Internet, DVR recorders, YouTube, Excel spread sheets, word processors, e-mail, Facebook, and more; it has also brought us identity theft, illegal wiretaps, Peeping Toms using hidden video cameras, cyber stalkers, and worse.

If you have ever left your cell phone at home when you’ve left the house for the day, you’ve realized how much we depend on technology for what have become common and necessary activities. If you’ve ever been at home when the electricity unexpectedly goes out, you have also realized how much we take for granted in our modern world.

Obama Deceptively Answers Second Amendment Question

Obama Deceptively Answers Second Amendment Question

Kurt Nimmo

It was yet another example demonstrating that some people in Mexico just don’t understand the concept of liberty, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights.

During a press conference with Mexican President Felipe Calderón on Thursday at the White House, a Mexican reporter asked Obama why he has not simply vetoed the Second Amendment.

Remarkably, nobody busted out laughing.

Obama admitted he is sworn to uphold the Constitution, including the right of Americans to possess firearms. He said Americans have the right to own guns to defend themselves and go hunting.

“Well, the Second Amendment in this country is part of our Constitution, and the president of the United States is bound by our Constitution,” Obama said. “So I believe in the Second Amendment. It does provide for Americans the right to bear arms for their protection, for their safety, for hunting, for a wide range of uses.”

Obama did not mention the real reason the Second Amendment was included in the Bill of Rights.

Establishment politicians rarely do.

It is said Obama is a constitutional scholar, and yet he seems clueless about the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

As a student of the Constitution, he should know that the Constitution establishes a government of limited powers and the first ten amendments of the Bill of Rights secure individual rights against the intrusion of government.

Put in its proper context, the Second Amendment is about preventing government intrusion, not deer hunting or self defense against criminals.

Mexicans – or at least those who work for newspapers and are selected to ask Obama questions – are oblivious to the concept of individual rights and the responsibility of an individual to prevent the government from devolving into a tyranny, as government left unchecked invariably does.

Thus it should come as no surprise when they ask stupid questions.

Tenth Amendment allows for local governments to regulate airports

Steve Watson
Prisonplanet.com
March 4, 2011

Legislation has been introduced into the Texas House of Representatives that directly challenges the authority of the TSA in airports within the state, specifically aimed at criminalizing the use of naked body scanners and enhanced pat-downs.

Rep. David Simpson (R-Longview) introduced a set of bills earlier this week that would empower the Texas Attorney General to bring suit in court against any airport operator who installs or uses the full body imaging equipment or any operator who touches a person without consent and searches them without probable cause.

The bills, HB 1938 and HB 1937 would see criminal and civil penalties handed out to any TSA worker who was found to have contravened the laws.

HB 1938 reads in part:

(b) An airport operator may not allow body imaging scanning equipment to be installed or operated in any airport in this state.

(c) An airport operator commits an offense if the operator fails to comply with Subsection (b).

(d) An airport operator who commits an offense under Subsection (c) is subject to a civil penalty in an amount not to exceed $1,000 for each day of the violation.

HB 1937 includes the following:

(3) as part of a search performed to grant access to a publicly accessible building or form of transportation, intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly:
(A) searches another person without probable cause to believe the person committed an offense; and

(B) touches the anus, sexual organ, or breasts of the other person, including touching through clothing, or touches the other person in a manner that would be offensive to a reasonable person.

(f) …. An offense under Subsection (a)(3) is a state jail felony.

Constitutional watchdog, The Texas Tenth Amendment Center noted that “the Texas legislature stands on solid ground. Local governments control airports and no enumerated power in the Constitution gives the federal government the authority to regulate them. Under the Tenth Amendment, airport operation falls under state jurisdiction.”

Texas, and in particular Austin, has been at the forefront of the revolt against the TSA since it began increasing its presence in airports some eighteen months ago. In December, Austin’s Airport Advisory Commission approved a resolution advising the city council to oppose airport body scanners and invasive body searches.

While the current global revolt sweeping across the Middle East and North Africa is born out of a universal human cry for freedom, food security and a decent standard of living, it is important to understand that the global elite are waiting in the wings to exploit the chaos as an opportunity to re-order the geopolitical landscape in their image, particularly by exploiting the demonstrations as a vehicle through which to weaken and topple the Iranian government.

Citizens of oil producing nations must see more benefit from their country’s national resources, billionaire investor George Soros has told the BBC.

Revolts in Libya were partly the result of “revulsion against a corruption” fed by the misuse of oil money, he added.

More “transparency and accountability” was needed from other producers such as Russia and Saudi Arabia he said.

Mr Soros also predicted the Iranian regime would be overthrown in the “bloodiest of the revolutions”.

While at the same time, Britain is considering sending typhoon fighters to Cyprus if a no-fly zone is given the green light.

Oil Price Shock; You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet

Oil Price Shock; You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet

Jeremy Warner
London Telegraph
Friday, March 4, 2011

The most common cause of a spiking oil price is supply shock. We may be seeing just such a phenonenon right now with the effective shut down of Libyan oil. But sometimes it’s excessive demand that does the damage.

Forget the present turbulence, which may or may not be temporary. You don’t have to look far into the future, perhaps as little as a year to 18 months, to see that a major demand challenge is looming which even assuming no further disruption to existing production, will challenge the present supply base to breaking point.

As it is, it’s fair to assume the world is closer to full capacity than producers care to admit. Rewind to the last oil price shock in the summer of 2008, and Saudi Arabia, pumping out oil at the rate of around 9.5 million barrels a day, was having to draw on inventories to meet demand. It’s therefore reasonable to assume that 9.5 million bpd then represented maximum capacity.

Since then, the Saudis have brought a further two fields on stream with a capacity of around 2 million bpd, bringing total capacity up to some 11.5 million bpd. But there is generally reckoned to be an attrition rate of around 6pc per annum on existing fields, taking us back to square one in terms of maximum daily output. This is perilously close to what the Saudis are already producing, and makes the assumed buffer of Saudi spare capacity considerably smaller than the Saudis claim. There’s not much slack anywhere else either.

Now look at growth in demand, virtually all of which is coming from China and other emerging markets. Chinese demand at around 10 million bpd annually is already around half that of the world’s biggest oil consumer, the US. But unlike the US, where demand is in gentle decline, in China it’s rising like a rocket.

Last year Chinese demand rose by close to 1 million bpd. It’ll probably be a bit lower this year, but not much. More cars are now being bought in China than the US, and they’ve got to run on something.

Undocumented nannies, housekeepers or lawn caretakers in the state of Texas can perhaps breathe easier about deportation. While new legislation in the Texas House of Representatives would make it a state crime to hire undocumented workers, it excludes those employed in single-family households — in other words, them.

The bill, introduced by state GOP Rep. Debbie Riddle, is the first of its kind in the country. It’s unique in that while it appeases those who want more stringent immigration laws, it doesn’t subject Texas households to the rule that would mainly apply to businesses and large employers.

Critics of the bill say it’s hypocritical. Supporters charge it’s needed in a state where the Hispanic population continues to climb swiftly.

Though it remains stuck in political limbo, the bill reflects a wider push toward implementing tougher anti-immigration laws at the state level. More than 100 immigration-related bills are pending in the Texas legislature alone, including those that would give state and local police officers the authority to enforce federal immigration laws, make English the official language and prevent undocumented students from getting in-state tuition and scholarships.

TED Conference speaker confirms New York Times admission – “ridiculous conspiracy theory” is true

Paul Joseph Watson
Prison Planet.com
Friday, March 4, 2011

A computer expert at the influential TED Conference in California has confirmed what the New York Times already admitted in January – that the same governments calling for draconian cybersecurity powers in order to protect against cyber warfare were themselves the culprits behind an act of cyber warfare that could have triggered a new Chernobyl disaster in launching the Stuxnet worm attack against Iran.

Ralph Langner, dubbed by his peers as “one of the best technical minds working in the field of industrial control system security,” said that the Stuxnet virus, which was used to attack Iranian computer systems that controlled water supplies, oil rigs, power plants and other critical infrastructure at the Bushehr nuclear reactor plant, was created by the United States with assistance from Israel.

“My opinion is that the Mossad is involved,” Langner said while discussing his in-depth Stuxnet analysis at a prestigious TED conference in the Southern California city of Long Beach,” reports AFP.

“But, the leading source is not Israel… There is only one leading source, and that is the United States,” explained Langner.

Langner’s conclusion only confirms what the New York Times already admitted in January, that the worm was created by the US and Israel as a weapon with which to sabotage Iran’s nuclear program.

The fact that the effectiveness of the Stuxnet worm was tested at Israel’s Dimona nuclear facility strongly indicates “that the virus was designed as an American-Israeli project to sabotage the Iranian program,” the Times reported on January 15.

At the height of the Stuxnet attack last year, many cybersecurity advocates were citing the virus as a justification for giving President Obama a kill switch to shut down the Internet, despite the fact that the worm could only have infected computer systems by being inserted physically via a USB flash drive.

The fact that the virus was created by the United States and Israel renders obsolete the entire cybersecurity agenda. Here we have the very culprits behind acts of cyber warfare telling us that we need to give them more power to counter the threat of cyber warfare.

But this goes further than the Iranian nuclear program or cybersecurity. After it became apparent that the US and Israel were behind he virus, Russian officials called on NATO to launch a full investigation into Stuxnet, warning that the attack had caused centrifuges at the Bushehr to spin out of control, which could have triggered a new Chernobyl disaster.

“Langner said the Stuxnet code was designed to trick human operators by showing them recorded readings indicating machinery is running normally while behind the scenes they are heading for destruction.”

“It’s definitely hard-core sabotage,” Langner said of Stuxnet. “It’s like in the movies where during a heist the security camera is running pre-recorded video showing nothing is wrong.”

Back in September 2010, we wrote several articles in which we identified “Israel and the United States….as the prime suspects behind the Stuxnet worm attack,” following the revelation that the virus was “created by experts working for a country or a well-funded private group.”

At the time, debunkers labeled the claim that the US and Israel had launched the worm attack as a “ridiculous” conspiracy theory.

- In an article entitled Debunking the Bunk of Stuxnet, the popular About.com website claimed that “none of the evidence” had “any direct connection” to Israel being behind the attack.

- The Economist reported that there was “no specific evidence” Stuxnet was an Israeli cyber-missile aimed at Iran.

- In an October 5 piece entitled Stuxnet: Fact vs. theory, CNet’s Elinor Mills wrote that there was “no hard evidence” behind the claim that, “The malware was distributed by Israel or the United States in an attempt to interfere with Iran’s nuclear program.”

- A Reddit piece submitted by “conspiracy debunker” entitled, “I would just to take this opportunity to debunk the conspiracy theory that Stuxnet was made by Israeli hackers,” blamed “low educated Iranians from poor backgrounds” for the theory that Israel was behind the attack.

- The Judeosphere blog labeled the charge “convoluted mental gymnastics”.

- A Jewish Chronicle article written by Miriam Shaviv labeled the claim a “ridiculous” conspiracy theory.

That “ridiculous conspiracy theory” was a very real fact, and one that could have caused an environmental catastrophe that would have plagued the planet for decades to come.

If we allow cybersecurity legislation to pass, we will be empowering the very cyber terrorists, the US military-industrial complex, who launched the most devastating and potentially dangerous cyber attack to date, handing them carte blanche to exploit more acts of cyber warfare to exalt themselves as the saviors when they are the very culprits behind the attacks.

US Libyan Policy: Zero Legitimacy

US Libyan Policy: Zero Legitimacy

Tony Cartalucci

March 4, 2011

From the very beginning the US-backed Libyan unrest played out in oafish measures, crutched along by the most irresponsible, intellectually dishonest “journalism” to date. A week before the unrest began, it was the the London based National Conference of Libyan Opposition (NCLO) that called for the February 17th “Day of Rage,” not Libyans in the streets of Tripoli or Benghazi.

The NCLO itself was created in London in 2005 by Ibrahim Sahad and his National Front for the Salvation of Libya (NFSL), which in turn has been one of the leading Libyan opposition groups since the 1980′s. The Daily Globe and Mail has reported that Sahad’s NFSL had been behind several attempted armed uprisings and assassination attempts against Qaddafi in the 1980′s, while records found in the US Library of Congress indicate Sahad’s NFSL had CIA support and training.

Sahad himself now directs the unrest in Libya from Washington D.C. while giving interviews with the corporate owned media literally in front of the White House.

Libya’s Ibrahim Sahad parrots verbatim the mainstream media’s
daily talking points, all while sitting in front of the White House.
Initial reports coming out of Libya after Sahad’s “Day of Rage” unfolded, told tales of bone-chilling atrocities committed by Qaddafi against “unarmed protesters.” Qaddafi was accused of strafing crowds of unarmed protesters from the air, storming hospitals and kidnapping injured patients, mosque massacres, and just about anything else the imaginations of the corporate owned media could conjure up. BBC did however concede that nearly all of their reports were impossible to confirm, as they were all entirely based on opposition “witness accounts.”

The howling hypocrisy of theAmerican response to the uprising in Libya has been so jaw-dropping and nauseating that I’ve hardly been able to address it. Fortunately, Seamus Milne is on the case, and voices much of my thinking about the matter:

The same western leaders who happily armed and did business with the Gaddafi regime until a fortnight ago have now slapped sanctions on the discarded autocrat and blithely referred him to the international criminal court the United States won’t recognise.

Yes, does this not, as they say, take the cake … and the plate and the forks and the napkins too? The United States pushing through a measure to refer Libyan leaders to an international court which the United States resolutely refuses to recognize — lest its own leaders and their underlings find themselves in the dock for the most monstrous war crimes of this century? Yet even today, the Nobel Peace Prize Laureate was sternly wagging his finger at Gaddafi and his underlings, telling them they “will be held accountable” for their actions before the august institutions of international justice, which weigh the whole world in the balance … except for the Peace prize-winning drone assassin and Continuer-in-Chief of a worldwide campaign of state terror, that is. But now back to Milne:
With Colonel Gaddafi and his loyalists showing every sign of digging in, the likelihood must be of intensified conflict – with all the heightened pretexts that would offer for outside interference, from humanitarian crises to threats to oil supplies.

But any such intervention would risk disaster and be a knife at the heart of the revolutionary process now sweeping the Arab world. Military action is needed, US and British politicians claim, because Gaddafi is “killing his own people”.

Hundreds have certainly died, but that’s hard to take seriously as the principal motivation.

When more than 300 people were killed by Hosni Mubarak’s security forces in a couple of weeks, Washington initially called for “restraint on both sides”. In Iraq, 50,000 US occupation troops protect a government which last Friday killed 29 peaceful demonstrators demanding reform. In Bahrain, home of the US fifth fleet, the regime has been shooting and gassing protesters with British-supplied equipment for weeks.

The “responsibility to protect” invoked by those demanding intervention in Libya is applied so selectively that the word hypocrisy doesn’t do it justice. And the idea that states which are themselves responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands in illegal wars, occupations and interventions in the last decade, along with mass imprisonment without trial, torture and kidnapping, should be authorised by international institutions to prevent killings in other countries is simply preposterous.

One key point Milne makes here deserves underlining: Western military intervention would be “a knife at the heart of the revolutionary process now sweeping the Arab world.” But of course, that’s exactly what Peace prizeniks and Etonian schoolboys now leading the “Free World” would like to see happen.

As Milne notes, the Arab Awakening is threatening some of the West’s favorite dictators and tough guys, from the religious extremists in Saudi Arabia to the ever-complaisant corruptocrats in Bahrain to the client brutalists in Iraq and elsewhere. The dullards directing world affairs have been desperately casting about for a way to put the kibosh on the movement – and Libya might give them the opening they’ve been fumbling for.

You Call This An Economic Recovery? 44 Million Americans On Food Stamps and 10 Other Reasons Why The Economy Is Simply Not Getting Better

The Economic Collapse
March 4, 2011

When Barack Obama, the Federal Reserve and the mainstream media tell us that we are in the middle of an economic recovery, is that supposed to be some kind of sick joke?  According to newly released numbers, over 44 million Americans are now on food stamps.  That is a new all-time record and that number is 13.1% higher than it was just one year ago.  So how many Americans have to go on food stamps before we can all finally agree that the U.S. economy is dying?  50 million?  60 million?  All of us?  The food stamp program is the modern equivalent of the old bread lines.  More than one out of every seven Americans now depends on the federal government for food.  Oh, but haven’t you heard?  The economy is showing dramatic improvement.  Corporate profits are up.  The stock market is soaring.  Happy days are here again.

It just seems inconceivable that anyone can claim that the economy is improving when the number of Americans on food stamps continues to set a brand new record every single month.  But the food stamp program is not the only indicator that the economy is still having massive problems.  The following are 10 more reasons why the U.S. economy is simply not getting any better….

#1 Some recent statistics actually indicate that the number of unemployed Americans is still going up.  According to Gallup, unemployment in the United States rose to 10.3% at the end of February.  That is the highest number Gallup has reported since early last year.

#2 The housing industry is still a complete and total disaster.  In fact, new home sales in the U.S. in January were 11.2% lower than they were in December.  Not only that, the number of new home sales in January was18.6% lower than the number of new home sales in January 2010.  That is not a sign of improvement.

#3 There wouldn’t even be much of a housing industry at all at this point if it was not for the U.S. government.  Right now the U.S. government is either writing or guaranteeing well over 90 percent of all mortgages in the United States.  So what would the housing market look like in 2011 if the government was not in the picture?

Secretary of State warns fellow globalists that US corporate media propaganda is being crushed by “real news” networks

Paul Joseph Watson

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton made a tacit admission during a U.S. Foreign Policy Priorities committee meeting yesterday, arguing that the State Department needs more money because the US military-industrial complex is “losing the information war” to the likes of Russia Today and Al Jazeera due to the US corporate media having completely abandoned “real news”.

“We are in an information war and we are losing that war,” warned Clinton, in a bid to rustle up more money to fund propaganda to compete with foreign news media, sending a clear message that stations such as Russia Today, which regularly provides a platform to the likes of Alex Jones, Max Keiser, Wayne Madsen, Paul Craig Roberts and Webster Tarpley, are winning the infowar against the globalists.

An example of how frightened the establishment is of Russia Today occurred when adverts for the network encouraging viewers think about both sides of a story were banned by US airports last year.

Clinton noted that, “The Russians have opened up an English language network. I’ve seen it in a couple of countries and it’s quite instructive,” referring to Russia Today, which is now seen all over the world and is a trailblazer in reporting hardcore subjects that the castrated US media dare not touch, such as 9/11 truth, the Bilderberg Group meetings, as well as globalist involvement in hijacking the wave of revolutions currently sweeping across the Middle East and North Africa.

While the US media remains obsessed with polarizing left-right talking head nonsense, the likes of Al Jazeera, China’s CCTV and Russia Today are “winning” and attracting more viewers because they concentrate on reporting “real news,” according to Clinton.

“You may not agree with it, but you feel like you’re getting real news around the clock instead of a million commercials and arguments between talking heads and the kind of stuff that we do on our news which is not particularly informative,” said the former First Lady.

“Al Jazeera has been the leader in literally changing people’s minds and attitudes. And like it or hate it, it is really effective,” added Clinton.

“I remember having an Afghan general tell me that the only thing he thought about Americans is that all the men wrestled and the women walked around in bikinis because the only TV he ever saw was Baywatch and World Wide Wrestling,” said Clinton, acknowledging the fact that American television is now so dumbed down that it is negatively shaping international perceptions of the United States.

“Our private media, particularly cultural programming often works at counter purposes to what we truly are as Americans,” said Clinton, alluding to the fact that US television has now reached such a lowest common denominator level that it is harming the very fabric of society.

Of course, Clinton, a CFR member and a leading globalist, couldn’t care less about harming the fabric of society, but she is obviously panicked about the fact that the US corporate media is now so distrusted and disparaged that it is rapidly losing its value to the US military-industrial complex as a vehicle through which to sell wars and hoodwink the public into swallowing official explanations behind staged crises that are used to eviscerate their freedoms and livelihoods.

That’s why Clinton is railing against Republican efforts to cut the State Department budget in half, as well as using Twitter and other social media to spread US military-industrial complex propaganda via twitter feeds in Arabic and Farsi. In addition, according to a recent report by Computerworld, “The U.S. government contracted HBGary Federal for the development of software which could create multiple fake social media profiles to manipulate and sway public opinion on controversial issues by promoting propaganda.”

Why the Dollar’s Reign Is Near an End

Why the Dollar’s Reign Is Near an End

BARRY EICHENGREEN

The single most astonishing fact about foreign exchange is not the high volume of transactions, as incredible as that growth has been. Nor is it the volatility of currency rates, as wild as the markets are these days.

Instead, it’s the extent to which the market remains dollar-centric.

Consider this: When a South Korean wine wholesaler wants to import Chilean cabernet, the Korean importer buys U.S. dollars, not pesos, with which to pay the Chilean exporter. Indeed, the dollar is virtually the exclusive vehicle for foreign-exchange transactions between Chile and Korea, despite the fact that less than 20% of the merchandise trade of both countries is with the U.S.

Documents Reveal TSA Research Proposal To Body-Scan Pedestrians, Train Passengers

Updated with the TSA’s response below, which denies implementing airport-style scans in mass transit.

Giving Transportation Security Administration agents a peek under your clothes may soon be a practice that goes well beyond airport checkpoints. Newly uncovered documents show that as early as 2006, the Department of Homeland Security has been planning pilot programs to deploy mobile scanning units that can be set up at public events and in train stations, along with mobile x-ray vans capable of scanning pedestrians on city streets.

The non-profit Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC) on Wednesday published documents it obtained from the Department of Homeland Security showing that from 2006 to 2008 the agency planned a study of of new anti-terrorism technologies that EPIC believes raise serious privacy concerns.

The projects range from what the DHS describes as “a walk through x-ray screening system that could be deployed at entrances to special events or other points of interest” to “covert inspection of moving subjects” employing the same backscatter imaging technology currently used in American airports.

If you’re a resident of one of at least 24 states including Arizona, Georgia, and Washington, your driver’s license may no longer be valid for boarding an airplane or entering federal buildings as of May 11, 2011.

That’s the deadline that senior House Republicans are calling on the Obama administration to impose, saying states must be required to comply with so-called Real ID rules creating a standardized digital identity card that critics have likened to a national ID.

The political problem for the GOP committee chairmen is that the 2005 Real ID Act has proven to be anything but popular: legislatures of two dozen states have voted to reject its requirements, and in the Michigan and Pennsylvania legislatures one chamber has done so.

James Woolsey denies CIA media control

James Woolsey denies CIA media control

Former CIA director plays dumb on Operation Mockingbird and admitted state-backed media propaganda.

Aaron Dykes
Infowars
March 3, 2011

Add one more to the bold confrontations conducted by We Are Change during the 2011 CPAC conference that include encounters with former VP Dick Cheney and former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld.

WeAreChange.org founder Luke Rudkowski confronts James Woolsey, former CIA Director, PNAC signatory, member the CFR and World Affairs Council, about the CIA’s historically established programs to control and influence the media.

Woolsey is asked about a statement from William Colby, CIA director from 1973-1976, who said, “The Central Intelligence Agency owns everyone of any significance in the major media.” Woolsey denied the truth behind the statement, making reference to Colby’s untimely death by boating accident (though he didn’t die until 1996).

Moreover, Woolsey denied any knowledge of Operation Mockingbird, telling We Are Change that no such program existed ‘the way you described it.’ In the end of the encounter, Woolsey doesn’t deny the CIA’s influence over the media altogether, but deflects, claiming no policy of involvement has existed ‘for decades.’

Rudkowski writes, “If the CIA had control over media companies decades ago what do you think there role is now during the communication revolution?”

“The Agency’s relationship with [The New York] Times was by far its most valuable among newspapers, according to CIA officials. [It was] general Times policy … to provide assistance to the CIA whenever possible.”

TSA Controversy Explodes: Scandals, Criminality, Security Failures And Uncovered Plans To Enhance Agency’s Reach

TSA Controversy Explodes: Scandals, Criminality, Security Failures And Uncovered Plans To Enhance Agency’s Reach

One week is a long time in the world of TSA tyranny

Steve Watson

The TSA, already facing a significant public backlash, has been thrust firmly into the media spotlight again this week as the controversy over the agency’s domestic security takeover has been heightened with the exposure of multiple unsavory stories of secret plans, security failures and outright criminality.

The latest incident to be exposed occurred Saturday night at JKF International Airport, as a passenger was allowed to board a plane with three boxcutter knives in his hand luggage. The details have only been fully revealed today.

Two Screeners and a TSA supervisor all failed to detect the boxcutters, and they were only discovered when they fell out of the luggage and were reported by a flight attendant.

The passenger told police that he uses boxcutters for his job and forgot they were in his case.

The New York Post writes “the stunning breach grounded the flight for three hours Saturday night and drew fury from Port Authority cops, who accused the Transportation Security Administration of being asleep on the job.”

“In case anyone has forgotten, the TSA was created because of a couple boxcutter incidents,” one unnamed Port Authority source told the Post, making reference to the weapons allegedly used on the flights involved in the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Despite the failure, the TSA says the screeners will not be fired, but will be disciplined and given extra training.

In another completely separate incident, the TSA says it will also discipline workers at Honolulu International Airport who didn’t bother to screen thousands of bags and pieces of luggage.

Honolulu station KITV reported that, in some cases over a period as long as four months, officers marked suitcases as having been screened when the bags hadn’t even been examined.

The situation only came to light when two other TSA employees alerted their superiors.

TSA spokesman Nico Melendez released a statement to KITV 4 News that said the agency “is taking appropriate disciplinary action against several TSA officers following an extensive investigation into allegations of improper screening.”

These two incidents are just the latest in a long series of security failures on behalf of the TSA, underscoring the point that the agency is wholesale failing to do it’s job properly, while simultaneously making life hell for anyone traveling through an airport.

Zakaria: America is Doomed Because It Fails to Embrace Globalism

Zakaria: America is Doomed Because It Fails to Embrace Globalism

Kurt Nimmo
Prison Planet.com
Thursday, March 3, 2011

The globalist Fareed Zakaria – a member of both the CFR and Rockefeller’s Trilateral Commission – has penned an article for the one of the crown jewels of the CIA’s emasculation of the media – Henry Luce’s Time Magazine – where he predicts the end of America as we know it, or as some of us once knew it.

American’s problem, according to Zakaria, is political insularity and especially our failure to embrace “market-based” globalism. In addition, we cling to funny and antiquated ideas about natural rights and the Constitution. “I believe that the Constitution was one of the wonders of the world — in the 18th century. But today we face the reality of a system that has become creaky,” he writes.

Too many of us, Zakaria argues, believe “demigods who walked the earth in the late 18th century” handed down “perfect system of government.” Even the founders, he insists, “understood that it was a work in progress, an unfinished enterprise that would constantly be in need of change, adjustment and repair.”

In other words, if the founders were alive today, they would embrace globalism. Zakaria also seems to think they would support the sort of excessive taxation in Europe and also would approve of carbon taxes.

As noted above, Zakaria is a member of both the CFR and the Trilateral Commission. The stated purpose of the Trilateral Commission is to create a “New International Economic Order,” in other words one world government at the expense of national sovereignty.

“The Trilateral Commission is international and is intended to be the vehicle for multinational consolidation of the commercial and banking interests by seizing control of the political government of the United States,” said the late Barry Goldwater. “The Trilateral Commission represents a skillful, coordinated effort to seize control and consolidate the four centers of power – political, monetary, intellectual and ecclesiastical.”

According to Holly Sklar, “the people, governments, and economies of all nations must serve the needs of multinational banks and corporations,” and this servitude is the ultimate goal of the Trilateralists, the CFR, the Bilderbergers, and the shadow government they have installed in Congress and the White House.

Zakaria: America is Doomed Because It Fails to Embrace Globalism obamapost
It is no mistake Obama was spotted reading Zakaria’s The Post-American World. The book argues that American is in decline and the sort of “authoritarian modernization” at work in the slave labor gulag of China is all the rage.

For Obama, reading the book – and being photographed with it – was a natural. His administration, after all, is stacked with CFR members, globalists, and Goldman Sachs cronies.

The globalists are seriously opposed to what Zakaria denounces as a political “system that has become creaky,” a system originally based on the Constitution and its accompanying Bill of Rights engineered by “demigods who walked the earth in the late 18th century” and who are now considered irrelevant dinosaurs by globalist intellectuals like Zakaria.

Zakaria knows the American people are beginning to catch wind of the globalist plan for world domination and that is why he underhandedly attacks domestic political groups and characterizes them as hopelessly myopic and mired in destructive parochialism. “American politics is now hyperresponsive to constituents’ interests. And all those interests are dedicated to preserving the past rather than investing for the future,” he writes.

Bernanke’s plan to recreate Libya in our own back yard is continuing to work magnificently. It is no surprise that on Charles Ponzi day, the update to food stamp usage indicates that in December those receiving an average of $134 per month has just hit 44.1 million people. These lucky people will soon be able to buy an inflation adjusted 2.3 crumbs of notional bread with this generous handout from the Chairsatan. In other words, America is now the land of the free, home of the brave, of whom 14.3% can’t afford to eat, even with all the new jobs created by both the old QE1, Lite and 2, and soon to be 3. Don’t forget that according to the Bernank, QE2 has already created 250,000 new jobs… all at the a modest cost of $1.3 million per job.

Egypt, Serbia, Georgia… The History of US Sponsored “Democratization”

Egypt, Serbia, Georgia… The History of US Sponsored “Democratization”

Eric Walberg
Global Research
Thursday, March 3, 2011

There is a Russian proverb: only a fool learns from his own mistakes. As Georgia’s foreign minister visits his Egyptian counterpart, there are lessons for Egypt in similar revolutions in eastern Europe and the ex-Soviet Union.

Central to Egypt’s revolution was a tiny group of Serbian activists Otpor (resistance), who adapted nonviolent tactics of in the late 1990s and successfully forced Serbian president Slobodan Milosevic to resign in 2000.

Egyptian youth in the 6 April Youth Movement even adopted their clenched fist symbol, bringing Otpor once again into world headlines and TV screens.

It was the 2008 strike El-Mahalla El-Kubra to protest high food prices and low wages that brought about this unforeseen Serbian-Egyptian alliance. A group of tech-savvy young Cairenes decided to start a Facebook group to organise solidarity actions around the country, attracting a surprising 70,000 supporters. The results of the strike were mixed, with police attacking strikers and killing two demonstrators, and solidarity protests quickly dispersed.

Determined to build on their networking success, writes Tina Rosenberg in Foreign Policy magazine, Mohamed Adel, a 20-year-old blogger and 6 April activist, went to Belgrade in 2009 and took a week-long course in the strategies of nonviolent revolution with Otpor veterans, who had established the Center for Applied Non-Violent Action and Strategies (CANVAS) in 2003 for just such activists. He learned how to translate “Internetworking” into street protests, and passed on his skills to others in the 6 April Youth Movement and Kefaya (Enough).

The rest is history. A relatively peaceful overthrow of the Egyptian regime has made Egyptian youth the darlings of the world — Egyptian-American scientist Faruq El-Baz even suggested they be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.

The nonviolent revolutionary tactics made famous by Otpor and used to such remarkable success by Egyptians are an outgrowth of soft power strategies developed most famously by Mohandas Gandhi in the anticolonial struggle in the 1920-30s, and also by the US government during the Cold War to undermine the socialist bloc; in both cases, where direct military action against the enemy was not feasible.

Most directly relevant in the case of Otpor is Reagan’s National Endowment for Democracy (NED, 1983), which was instrumental in bringing about the collapse of the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, funding all opposition groups left and right intent on undermining the socialist regimes. Warren Christopher, president Bill Clinton’s first secretary of state, argued, “By enlisting international and regional institutions in the work, the US can leverage our own limited resources and avoid the appearance of trying to dominate others.”

NED’s first president, Allen Weinstein, admitted that “a lot of what we do today was done covertly 25 years ago by the CIA.”

Texas Considering Arizona-Style Immigration Law

Texas Considering Arizona-Style Immigration Law

Jon E. Dougherty
Newsroom America
Thursday, March 3, 2011

(Newsroom America) — Lawmakers in Texas are eyeing the adoption of an immigration reform law similar to one in Arizona, making the Lone Star state the latest to join about a dozen others also considering it.

Local media reported that the plan being considered by state lawmakers would allow, but not require, state and local police to help enforce federal immigration laws.

Officials said the compromise is meant to placate both Democrats and Republicans. Immigration rights advocates are opposed to the measure, saying it would lead to racial discrimination.

The Texas law mirrors parts of the law passed in Arizona that set off a federal lawsuit and was denounced by President Obama.
