Reactor number two at the Fukushima Daiichi has gone into full meltdown, although this is not being reported by the corporate media. The core has melted through the floor of the containment building and is now releasing large amounts of radiation.



Richard Lahey, who was head of safety research for boiling-water reactors at General Electric when the company installed the units at Fukushima, told the Guardian on Tuesday workers at the site appeared to have “lost the race” to save the reactor.

“The indications we have, from the reactor to radiation readings and the materials they are seeing, suggest that the core has melted through the bottom of the pressure vessel in unit two, and at least some of it is down on the floor of the drywell,” Lahey said. “I hope I am wrong, but that is certainly what the evidence is pointing towards.”

On March 12, the Japanese government assured its citizens there was no possiblity of a nuclear meltdown. Five days later, Japan’s nuclear agency raised tbe severity rating of the nuclear crisis from a Level 4 to Level 5 on a seven-level international scale.

On March 29, Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan said his government is in a state of maximum alert over high-level radiation leaked from the plant.
Also on Tuesday, it was reported that deadly plutonium had leaked from reactor number two. Japan’s Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency insisted the leak was not harmful to human life.



Sakae Muto, Tokyo Electric vice-president, said the amount of plutonium-238, 239 and 240 released into the atmosphere was on par with past nuclear tests. “I apologize for making people worried,” he said.

Record-high readings of contaminated sea water were found near the plant, Bloombergreports. Radioactive iodine in seawater rose to 3,355 times the regulated safety limit yesterday afternoon from 2,572 times earlier in the day, agency spokesman Hidehiko Nishiyama said. Nishiyama said the radiation is not a threat because there is no fishing in the area.

Experts say a reactor in meltdown will stop at or before the underlying soil of the containment structure, but will release massive amount of radiation into the atmosphere and ground causing extensive damage to plant and animal life. This process is now underway at the Fukushima Daiichi plant.

Meanwhile, there appears to be problems with a second nuclear plant. Tokyo Electric Power Co. said smoke was reported coming from the turbine building of reactor No. 1 at the Fukushima Daini nuclear power plant earlier today. The Fukushima Daini nuclear power plant is about 6 miles from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant.

Poll: Obama’s approval hits new low

President Barack Obama’s approval rating and prospects for reelection have plunged to all-time lows in a Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday.

Half of the registered voters surveyed for the poll  think that the president does not deserve a second term in office, while 41 percent say he does. In another Quinnipiac poll released just four weeks ago, 45 percent said the president did not deserve reelection, while 47 percent said he did.

The downward shift may in part be the result of dissatisfaction over U.S involvement in Libya, with 47 percent of those surveyed saying they oppose it. By a margin of 58 percent to 29 percent, registered voters said that Obama has not clearly stated U.S. goals for the mission.

President Obama finally and quietly accepted his “transparency” award from the open government community this week — in a closed, undisclosed meeting at the White House on Monday.

The secret presentation happened almost two weeks after the White House inexplicably postponed the ceremony, which was expected to be open to the press pool.

This time, Obama met quietly in the Oval Office with Gary Bass of OMB Watch, Tom Blanton of the National Security Archive, Danielle Brian of the Project on Government Oversight, Lucy Dalglish of the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press, and Patrice McDermott of OpenTheGovernment.org, without disclosing the meeting on his public schedule or letting photographers or print reporters into the room.

“Our understanding going into the meeting was that it would have a pool photographer and a print reporter, and it turned out to be a private meeting,” Bass told POLITICO. “He was so on point, so on target in the conversation with us, it is baffling why he would not want that message to be more broadly heard by reporters and the public interest community and the public generally.”

Today, ‘freelancers‘ in Libya; yesterday, terrorists in the ‘War on Terror.’ Before that, allies against Serbia; in the 80s, Freedom Fighters. The shadowy enemy supposedly run by Osama bin Laden and top jihadists like Anwar al-Awlaki is really an extension of U.S. foreign policy and the Pentagon. Al Qaeda shifts across the geopolitical chessboard at the will of its masters in the allied-international intelligence ring. It is perhaps government’s greatest hoax… but the tactic is one of the oldest tricks in the book for any power-seeking State.



For the average person who has lived through the phony ‘War on Terror’, a post-9/11 age of fear that has swirled around the persona of bin Laden, it may be quite confusing to now read headlines like Libya: the West and al-Qaeda on the same side. Indeed, the rebel forces trying to topple Gaddafi admittedly include more than 1,000 al Qaeda soldiers while enjoying total backing– weapons, planes, funding and forces– from the U.S., Britain, NATO and other allies. The CIA and British SAS forces that are now “officially” entering Libya as ground support were covertly operating at least a month ago.

However, the Pentagon-run al Qaeda hoax has deeper history than can be covered in just a few minutes of airtime.

CRIMESTOP: CREATE THE ENEMY, FOOL THE PUBLIC

As we cover some of the highlights of al Qaeda’s duplicitous history, consider these conflicting statements from two U.S. Presidents about the Taliban / al Qaeda (albeit from different points in time):

“They hate our freedoms — our freedom of religion, our freedom of speech, our freedom to vote and assemble and disagree with each other.”

– George W. Bush, Address to a Joint Session of Congress and the American People, September 20, 2001

“These (Taliban) gentlemen are the moral equivalents of America’s Founding Fathers.”

— Ronald Wilson Reagan in 1985 while introducing the Mujahideen leaders to media on the White House lawn.

The answer to the contradiction is learning to embrace the deception as truth, whenever the State says to do so, just as Winston Smith finally “learns” in 1984– when he is compelled to find that 2+2=5. His torturer, O’Brien, tells him ‘You are a slow learner, Winston.’

‘How can I help it?’ [Winston] blubbered. ‘How can I help seeing what is in front of my eyes? Two and two are four.’
‘Sometimes, Winston. Sometimes they are five. Sometimes they are three. Sometimes they are all of them at once. You must try harder. It is not easy to become sane.’

Karl Rove, a key architect of the Bush Administration, known glowingly as “Bush’s Brain”, chastised reporters in 2002 who tried to appeal to the “reality-based community” in the face of a President who, according to Ron Suskind of the NY Times expressed to high level members of Congress, aides and the like that he didn’t need the facts:

The aide [Rove] said that guys like me were ”in what we call the reality-based community,” which he defined as people who ”believe that solutions emerge from your judicious study of discernible reality.” I nodded and murmured something about enlightenment principles and empiricism. [Rove] cut me off. ”That’s not the way the world really works anymore,” he continued. ”We’re an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you’re studying that reality — judiciously, as you will — we’ll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that’s how things will sort out. We’re history’s actors . . . and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do.”

Unbeknownst to the media at that time, Rove was operating on behalf of a government that was not only arrogant, but had taken a page directly out of George Orwell’s 1984. America’s enemy Osama bin Laden and his al Qaeda were remarkably like Emmanuel Goldstein, arch-villain of Oceania in 1984.

Goldstein [or bin Laden] was “commander of a vast shadowy army, an underground network of conspirators dedicated to the overthrow of the State.” An enemy that couldn’t be found, killed or slowed from influencing new conspirators at every turn. “Somewhere or other,” Orwell wrote, “he was still alive and hatching his conspiracies.”

“Goldstein was delivering his usual venomous attack upon the doctrines of the Party — an attack so exaggerated and perverse that a child should have been able to see through it, and yet just plausible enough to fill one with an alarmed feeling that other people, less level-headed than oneself, might be taken in by it… Goldstein produced fear and anger automatically. He was an object of hatred more constant than either Eurasia or Eastasia, since when Oceania was at war with one of these Powers it was generally at peace with the other. But what was strange was that although Goldstein was hated and despised by everybody… his influence never seemed to grow less.”

In 1984, it was rumored that Goldstein, whereabouts unknown, might even be taking refuge somewhere within their own superstate itself; consequently, “a day never passed when spies and saboteurs acting under his directions were not unmasked by the Thought Police.” In contemporary America, the Department of Homeland Security now takes that possibility as its directive, screening and searching ordinary people everywhere in search of shadowy al Qaeda or “homegrown terrorists.” Just as in 1984, children were trained to be spies to rat out suspicious adults.
Behind the hoax contrived to control party members and maintain power, Winston’s torturer and member of the inner-party, O’Brien, confessed that he had personally taken part in writing Goldstein’s outlawed book– a lie to serve the State. It was necessary for the controlling party to create a living myth that portrayed Goldstein as a classic, evasive “external enemy“. The utility of the external enemy has been noted by many, including the Club of Rome, who wrote in 1991 that “Humans only truly unite when faced with a powerful external enemy…At this time a new enemy must be found, one either real or invented for the purpose.” Henry Kissinger likewise quipped at Bilderberg in 1991 that the United Nations might seize upon an “outside threat from beyond” to unite the peoples of the world.

Thus, the steady diet of propaganda, including the two-minutes hate that daily featured new installments of Goldstein’s crimes and heresies. In 1984, Goldstein was:

“almost on a level with Big Brother himself, and then had engaged in counter-revolutionary activities, had been condemned to death, and had mysteriously escaped and disappeared. The programmes of the Two Minutes Hate varied from day to day, but there was none in which Goldstein was not the principal figure. He was the primal traitor.”

O’Brien proclaimed during Winston’s torturous re-education sessions that: “Goldstein and his heresies will live for ever. Every day, at every moment, they will be defeated, discredited, ridiculed, spat upon and yet they will always survive.” Bin Laden has been patently the same archetypal enemy– despite being wanted dead or alive (Bush, Sept. 18, 2001), armies can’t find him [TIME 2002] after a decade.



Admittedly fake videos with bad look-alikes and audio recordings supposedly sent by bin Laden surfaced routinely just before elections (Tom Ridge later admitted that terror threats were elevated to help Bush’s re-election bid) or when the American people needed a reminder of the threat of terror. Prior to the admissions, analysts correctly suspected that al Qaeda video logos matched the signature of the CIA-linked Intel Center, revealing an unholy connection at the source of the video-taped threats. Despite the fact that bin Laden had reportedly died and had been in the hospital on kidney dialysis in 2001, Osama bin Laden remained a nearly-omnipotent villain in Bush Administration communiques. His survival as the external enemy, like Goldstein, was almost guaranteed because it empowered the State’s official fairytale and enabled action on wide-ranging controversial policies with little scrutiny. Ultimately, in 1984, Goldstein is of no material relevance; his real purpose is to induce submission to the party-led Oligarchical Collectivist State.

DOUBLETHINK: AL QAEDA THE ALLY, AL QAEDA THE ENEMY

The real Osama bin Laden is a Western-trained CIA asset with the declassified code-name “Tim Osman.” He was chosen to lead the Mujahideen / Taliban in Afghanistan, in part, because his wealthy family has been a long-term business partner to key families in the West, including the Bush family (Carlyle Group). In fact, George H. W. Bush, the father, had been meeting with one of Osama bin Laden’s brothers on the morning of 9/11. The real Mujahideen has been used for a variety of Western-backed political purposes, namely upheaval and regional-destabilization.

Back in 1979, al Qaeda, in the form of the Mujahideen / Taliban, were America’s secret weapon in Operation Cyclone. It was geopolitical strategist Zbigniew Brzezinski, then National Security Advisor under Carter, who schemed to draw the Soviet Union into a trap that might bleed them dry. Brzezinski gave an interview to France’s Le Nouvel Observateur in 1998, unapologetic about their covert aid the Mujahadeen six months before the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan. Here is a segment of that interview:

Q: You don’t regret anything today?

Brzezinski: Regret what? That secret operation was an excellent idea. It had the effect of drawing the Russians into the Afghan trap and you want me to regret it? The day that the Soviets officially crossed the border, I wrote to President Carter: We now have the opportunity of giving to the USSR its Vietnam war. Indeed, for almost 10 years, Moscow had to carry on a war unsupportable by the government, a conflict that brought about the demoralization and finally the breakup of the Soviet empire.

Q: And neither do you regret having supported the Islamic [integrisme], having given arms and advice to future terrorists?

Brzezinski: What is most important to the history of the world? The Taliban or the collapse of the Soviet empire? Some stirred-up Moslems or the liberation of Central Europe and the end of the cold war?

Q: Some stirred-up Moslems? But it has been said and repeated: Islamic fundamentalism represents a world menace today.

Brzezinski: Nonsense!

During the Reagan years, they were Freedom Fighters, public heroes heralding the possibility for democracy to spread overseas in resistance to Communism.

Reagan even dedicated the launch of the space shuttle Columbia to the Afghans, in the name of the ‘highest aspirations of freedom.’ In 1985, Ronald Reagan said the men in the Taliban’s ranks were “the moral equivalents of America’s Founding Fathers.” These men were supported openly for a decade as the Soviets met ‘their Vietnam’ in Afghanistan.



As Kurt Nimmo writes:

Osama bin Laden ran MAK (Maktab al-Khidamat), an organization created by Pakistan’s ISI at the behest of the CIA. It funneled money, weapons, and internationally recruited fighters into the war created in part by Jimmy Carter’s National Security Adviser, Zbigniew Brzezinski. Osama was closely tied to the Afghan warlord and ISI stooge Gulbuddin Hekmatyar who ran drugs for the CIA. In the 1980s, emissaries from the United States met with Osama. The CIA paid Osama to train the militant group Abu Sayyaf and others at his CIA-built camps in Afghanistan. In New York, Osama’s MAK operated the CIA-connected al-Kifah Refugee Center that was involved in the 1993 WTC bombing. The U.S. government would later call the al-Kifah charity the “precursor organization to al-Qaeda.”

The 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center was exposed as another cruel hoax. In 1993, the F.B.I. became, at best, dangerous enablers as they undertook a “sting” operation to allegedly prove the culpability of the suspects. Even Wikipedia admits that harmless powder was swapped with real bomb material.

F.B.I. informant Emad Salem became alarmed at the introduction of real explosives and recorded his conversations with the F.B.I. proving they enabled and allowed the bombing to go forward that killed 4 people.

Simultaneously, by the late 80s and early 90s, al-Qaeda, under U.S. orders, “migrated to Bosnia, hoping to assist their Islamic brethren in a struggle against Serbian [and for a time] Croatian forces.” Al Qaeda was still a U.S. and Saudi-backed ally circa 1999 that backed the Albanian KLA in terrorist acts in the war-torn Yugoslavian region, even up to the time of NATO’s bombings, despite growing concerns about terrorism, including the impact of the 1993 WTC bombing. With Serbia / former Yugoslavia still fresh in the public mind but the Pentagon-al Qaeda connection largely in the shadows, the USS Cole was bombed in October 2000 in a Yemeni port. The act of terror against the United States would be blamed on Osama bin Laden, rogue heir to the wealthy family known for their business with big Western players (like the Carlyle Group, etc.).
The 9/11 attacks hit. It was instantly blamed on Osama bin Laden. Endless contradictions to the official government account emerged over the coming hours, days, weeks and years for now almost a decade, without any sign of accountability or truth in the officialdom anywhere in sight. In addition to gross contradictions to the laws of physics in the collapses of WTC towers 1, 2 and 7, details came forward about how the accused hijackers were trained at U.S. bases, lived with FBI informants, were given VISAS and let past borders despite being on the watchlists; the hijackers were identified by U.S. intelligence agencies [Able Danger, et. al.], but their warnings were ignored (and much, much more: prior knowledge, warnings, drills, etc., etc., etc.).
While rallying the public behind a war in Afghanistan, and soon in Iraq as well, the Bush Administration clandestinely let members of the bin Laden family quietly fly out of the United States, even while all other flights were grounded. It would be revealed in articles about the “Airlift of Evil,” that U.S. forces also covertly exported Taliban forces from Afghanistan to Pakistan; meanwhile, U.S. soldiers where geared up to search in caves and rugged terrain for a shadowy enemy in the “graveyard of empires“; as of 2011, the deadline for leaving Afghanistan continues to roll back.
As noted earlier, embarrassing leaks emerged casting doubt on the validity of al Qaeda’s jihad against America, as the Bush Administration continued to hype the threat of terror without pause. Controversial measures, including the Constitution-shredding Patriot Act, warrantless-wiretaps of U.S. citizens, torture (Obama refused to investigate the crimes of the Bush Admin.) and indefinite detention and other devastating attacks on the “hated freedoms” of Americans continued seamlessly under Barack Obama.
Nearly every major terror plot uncovered domestically has, in fact, turned out to be a contrivance by the FBI where it sets-up a sting and encourages its patsies to carry out an attack. The “close calls” on American soil since 9/11 have largely been connected to Anwar al-Awlaki, who it was revealed, dined with Pentagon brass in the months after 9/11. The Underwear Bomber who tried to blow-up a Detroit-bound plane was given VISA clearance by the State Dept. despite being on the watchlist; witnesses Kurt & Lori Haskell watched Abdulmutallab being helped on the plane by a “sharp-dressed man” who was most likely an intelligence agent. They also witnessed other suspect/patsies who were never mentioned in the mainstream media. The key questions their verified account raises may never be addressed, as the accused Abdulmutallab is attempting to represent himself in court. Hoaxes and inconsistencies have been raised around the cases of the Foot Hood shooter, the Times Square bomber and many, many others. Even Geraldo Rivera of Fox News has noted that the FBI’s pattern of sting operations are ‘bogus’.

Homeland Security took on a greater role, imposing absurd and unpopular TSA body scanners and groping pat-downs on travelers. DHS has further rolled out checkpoints [in the name of catching al Qaeda, of course], mobile x-ray vans on public streets & highways (including pedestrians), on trains, buses and boats, as well as at sport stadiums, hotels and shopping malls and beyond.

In 2011, George Orwell’s “War is Peace” mantra is upgraded once again, as the Nobel Peace Prize winner President Obama expands war into Libya under the Orwellian-guise of a “humanitarian crisis,” imposing a no-fly zone (which immediately gave way to full scale bombings and then ground forces).

Americans, Westerners and the world at-large must scratch their heads once again as wars in Iraq and Afghanistan not only continue, but the West finds an unlikely ally against Col. Gaddafi in rebels made up of al Qaeda forces. The Lie has not stopped, as Western intelligence continues to wield one of its most powerful client-weapons– the al Qaeda hoax, invariably friend or foe, as the situation demands. In classic doublethink, the same week the public learns its anti-Gaddafi allies include al Qaeda, over-the-top, grandiose threats are made by mail claiming that al Qaeda has some 160 nuclear bombs buried at strategic locations across the United States; if there’s any truth at all to the claim, you can be certain the nuclear material was delivered via Western intelligence.

Fluoride spill at water facility literally burns holes in parking lot cement

(NaturalNews) A recent chemical spill at a water treatment facility in Rock Island, Ill., required the assistance of an emergency relief crew decked in the very same type of hazmat suits being worn by workers at the Fukushima Dai-Ichi nuclear plant in Japan. Except instead of radiation, the leaked chemical at the water plant was actually hydrofluorosilicic acid, a chemical fluoride component commonly added to drinking supplies for the stated purpose of preventing cavities. This fluoride chemical is so hazardous that it actually began to burn through parking lot cement in Rock Island before emergency crews arrived on the scene.

According to reports from WQAD News 8 in Moline, a tanker truck delivering the fluoride began to overflow, leaking the chemical directly onto the parking lot where it spilled down towards the street. And before emergency crews arrived on the scene in full hazmat suits and gas masks, the fluoride had actually begun to burn a hole right through the concrete.

"It's a corrosive agent that the water treatment plant uses," said Rock Island assistant fire chief Jeff Yerkey, concerning the spilled fluoride. He explained that the crews had to use earthen berms, dirt, sand, and commercial broom equipment to stop the leak. Yerkey also added that there was no "inhalation hazard" from the incident, and no evacuation of local residents was required.

NEW York: On behalf of 60 family farmers, seed businesses and organic agricultural organizations, the Public Patent Foundation (PUBPAT) filed suit today against Monsanto Company challenging the chemical giant’s patents on genetically modified seed. The organic plaintiffs were forced to sue preemptively to protect themselves from being accused of patent infringement should their crops ever become contaminated by Monsanto’s genetically modified seed.

Monsanto has sued farmers in the United States and Canada, in the past, when there are patented genetic material has inadvertently contaminated their crops.

The case, Organic Seed Growers & Trade Association, et al. v. Monsanto, was filed in federal district court in Manhattan and assigned to Judge Naomi Buchwald. Plaintiffs in the suit represent a broad array of family farmers, small businesses and organizations from within the organic agriculture community who are increasingly threatened by genetically modified seed contamination despite using their best efforts to avoid it. The plaintiff organizations have over 270,000 members, including thousands of certified organic family farmers.

Reactor number two at the Fukushima Daiichi has gone into full meltdown, although this is not being reported by the corporate media. The core has melted through the floor of the containment building and is now releasing large amounts of radiation.



Richard Lahey, who was head of safety research for boiling-water reactors at General Electric when the company installed the units at Fukushima, told the Guardian on Tuesday workers at the site appeared to have “lost the race” to save the reactor.

“The indications we have, from the reactor to radiation readings and the materials they are seeing, suggest that the core has melted through the bottom of the pressure vessel in unit two, and at least some of it is down on the floor of the drywell,” Lahey said. “I hope I am wrong, but that is certainly what the evidence is pointing towards.”

On March 12, the Japanese government assured its citizens there was no possiblity of a nuclear meltdown. Five days later, Japan’s nuclear agency raised tbe severity rating of the nuclear crisis from a Level 4 to Level 5 on a seven-level international scale.

On March 29, Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan said his government is in a state of maximum alert over high-level radiation leaked from the plant.

Also on Tuesday, it was reported that deadly plutonium had leaked from reactor number two. Japan’s Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency insisted the leak was not harmful to human life.



Sakae Muto, Tokyo Electric vice-president, said the amount of plutonium-238, 239 and 240 released into the atmosphere was on par with past nuclear tests. “I apologize for making people worried,” he said.

Record-high readings of contaminated sea water were found near the plant, Bloomberg reports. Radioactive iodine in seawater rose to 3,355 times the regulated safety limit yesterday afternoon from 2,572 times earlier in the day, agency spokesman Hidehiko Nishiyama said. Nishiyama said the radiation is not a threat because there is no fishing in the area.

Experts say a reactor in meltdown will stop at or before the underlying soil of the containment structure, but will release massive amount of radiation into the atmosphere and ground causing extensive damage to plant and animal life. This process is now underway at the Fukushima Daiichi plant.


Meanwhile, there appears to be problems with a second nuclear plant. Tokyo Electric Power Co. said smoke was reported coming from the turbine building of reactor No. 1 at the Fukushima Daini nuclear power plant earlier today. The Fukushima Daini nuclear power plant is about 6 miles from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant.

CIA Operative Appointed to Run al-Qaeda Connected Libyan Rebels

On Saturday, McClatchy reported that Khalifa Hifter, a former Gaddafi military officer, was appointed to lead the rebel army supported by the United Nations, the United States and the Globalist Coalition.

Hifter spent two decades living in suburban Virginia “where he established a life but maintained ties to anti-Gaddafi groups,” writes Chris Adams for the newspaper. A friend told the journalist he “was unsure exactly what Hifter did to support himself, and that Hifter primarily focused on helping his large family.”

As it turns out, Mr. Hifter is a CIA operative, which likely explains his lengthy stay in Virginia. In 1996, the Washington Post reported that a Col. Haftar (a variation on Hifter) had arrived in the United States and he was “reported to be the leader of a contra-style group based in the U.S. called the Libyan National Army,” the Wisdom Fund noted at the time. “This group is supported by the U.S., and has been given training facilities in the U.S. It’s a good presumption that Col. Haftar’s group operates in Libya with the blessings of our government.”

In 2001, Le Monde diplomatique published a book entitled Manipulations africaines stating that Hifter, then a colonel in Gaddafi’s army, was captured while fighting in Chad in a Libyan-backed rebellion against the US-supported government of Hissène Habré. “He defected to the Libyan National Salvation Front (LNSF), the principal anti-Gaddafi group, which had the backing of the American CIA. He organized his own militia, which operated in Chad until Habré was overthrown by a French-supported rival, Idriss Déby, in 1990,” writes Patrick Martin.

Chad served as a base of operations to destabilize Libya, according to Paris-based African Confidential newsletter. It reported on January 5th, 1989, that “the US and Israel had set up a series of bases in Chad and other neighboring countries to train 2000 Libyan rebels captured by the Chad army,” writes author Peter Dale Scott.

In The Secret War Against Libya, Richard Keeble writes for MediaLens:

US official records indicate that funding for the Chad-based secret war against Libya also came from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Morocco, Israel and Iraq. The Saudis, for instance, donated $7m to an opposition group, the National Front for the Salvation of Libya (also backed by French intelligence and the CIA). But a plan to assassinate Gaddafi and take over the government on 8 May 1984 was crushed. In the following year, the US asked Egypt to invade Libya and overthrow Gaddafi but President Mubarak refused. By the end of 1985, the Washington Post had exposed the plan after congressional leaders opposing it wrote in protest to President Reagan.

Hidden in plain view is the fact the CIA and the establishment have appointed a former operative to run the so-called rebel army posed against Gaddafi. In other words, the resistance daily portrayed as heroes by the corporate media – itself controlled by the CIA and the establishment – basically consists of the same folks who opposed the Libyan dictator two decades ago.

The other CIA front in Libya is al-Qaeda under the banner of al-Jama’a al-Islamiyyah al-Muqatilah bi-Libya, aka the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group, LIFG. The LIFG was founded in 1995 by a group of mujahideen veterans who had fought against the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan. The mujahideen operation was run by the CIA, Pakistan’s ISI, and the Saudis. It eventually became al-Qaeda, the Taliban, and assorted jihadists.

Meanwhile, over at the Soros operation, Think Progress, the libs are desperate to support Obama’s murderous new war and dismiss anybody who would even suggest the heroic rebels are connected to al-Qaeda and the CIA.

“It’s necessary to have a public debate about the U.S. role in Libya, but it’s important to get the facts right — al Qaeda is not driving the Libyan resistance,” the foundation and globalist liberals insist.

They are right, but not in the way they think. The CIA is the driving force and al-Qaeda is just window dressing consisting of the usual dupes, patsies, useful idiots, and assorted psychopaths on the payroll.

Donald Trump learned the hard way this week that if you're going to call on the president to release his official birth certificate, you'd better do the same.

Trump, who has been putting pressure on Obama lately to make public his long-form birth certificate from Hawaii, decided to set a good example and release his own on Monday. Only problem was, the document that Trump provided to the conservative Website Newsmax wasn't his actual birth certificate, but rather a  "hospital certificate of birth."

On Tuesday, Trump, who is contemplating a presidential run in 2012, sought to correct the oversight, providing a copy of his official birth certificate issued by the New York City Department of Health to ABC News.

US NATO Commander Admits Al-Qaeda Linked To Libyan Rebels

A top ranking NATO Commander has admitted that intelligence has uncovered elements of “al qaeda” amongst Libyan rebel fighters currently receiving tactical military support from US and European led operations inside the country.

The admission serves as yet more confirmation that radical Islamic fundamentalists are part of the opposition groups attempting to oust the nationalist dictatorship of Muammar Gaddafi, with the help of the US and its NATO allies.

“We are examining very closely the content, composition, the personalities, who are the leaders of these opposition forces,” Admiral James Stavridis, NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander, Europe, and also the commander of U.S. European Command, said during testimony at the U.S. Senate.

“…we have seen flickers in the intelligence of potential al Qaeda, Hezbollah, we’ve seen different things.” Stavridis said, while adding that the rebels leadership appeared to be comprised also of “responsible men and women”.



NATO shouldn’t need to look far for such intelligence, however, given that last week the supreme commander of anti Gaddafi rebels forces in Libya acknowledged that among the ranks of those fighting against the government are islamic militants who have fought and killed US troops in Iraq.

Abdel-Hakim al-Hasidi, who made the remarks in an interview with Il Sole 24 Ore, an Italian newspaper, also admitted that he had previously recruited fundamentalists to fight in Iraq, and said that the fighters are “today are on the front lines in Adjabiya”.

Those fighters violently oppose the secular regime of Gaddafi and wish to see it destroyed and replaced with sharia law in Libya.

Despite these facts and admissions, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice says the Obama administration has still not ruled out military support for the Libyan rebels.

“We have not made that decision but we’ve not certainly ruled that out,” Rice told “Good Morning America” anchor George Stephanopoulos on Tuesday morning. She did not answer a question about whether military support would include arming the rebels.

Why aid al qaeda affiliated rebels? Well for one, they are more open to dealing directly with US and European oil companies than Gaddafi who has been considering completely nationalizing the oil industryfor the last eighteen months.

Secondly, they are easily transformed into dangerous terrorist enemies, should the globalist elite need an excuse to strengthen their grip in the future.

It comes as little surprise that elements of radicals would make up some of the Libyan rebel groups, given that, as Webster Tarpley has highlighted, the Benghazi-Darnah-Tobruk area is a world capital for al qaeda or mujahedin suicide bomber recruitment, according to a 2007 West Point study.

The study found that Libya was the second-largest source of foreign guerilla jihadi fighters entering Iraq in the world.

“Libya contributed far more fighters per capita than any other nationality… including Saudi Arabia,” the authors concluded.

“The apparent surge in Libyan recruits traveling to Iraq may be linked to the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group’s [LIFG] increasingly cooperative relationship with al Qaeda, which culminated in the LIFG officially joining al Qaeda on November 3, 2007,” the report states.

As detailed in a London Telegraph report, Abdel-Hakim al-Hasidi, leader of the Libyan rebels, was a member of the LIFG.

Despite all this evidence, as well as outright admissions from the rebels themselves and NATO commanders, Neolib gatekeeping media outlets, such as the George Soros funded Think Progress, have ridiculously suggested that it’s all some sort of conservative right wing conspiracy against president Obama.

“… in recent days, some prominent conservatives have been attacking President Obama for essentially fighting on behalf of al Qaeda by joining the international intervention in Libya, without offering any evidence for this inflammatory charge.” George Zornick writes, ignoring the fact that there is ample evidence, as we have already presented.

Even after all the lies and subterfuge surrounding the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, the likes of Zornick remain perpetually locked in a left vs right political paradigm cell, constructed entirely of their own cognitive dissonance.

The ruling global elite, yes there is a global ruling elite Mr Zornick – that is not a conspiracy theory – in the form of the Western military industrial complex, continually back both sides while forwarding their own strategic geopolitical agenda. We have seen this time and again. You know they do, you have seen it time and again – it is no different this time around.

Zornick cannot compute. Obama=good, Bush=bad no longer computes. World is more complicated than programming can comprehend. Zornick will self destruct in ten seconds. Information overload. Information overload.

U.S. says Libyan rebels may sell oil

The United States on Monday gave a green light to sales of Libyan crude oil from rebel-held territory, giving a potential boost to forces battling Muammar Gaddafi.

A U.S. Treasury Department official said Libyan rebels would not be subject to U.S. sanctions if they avoid entities linked to Gaddafi’s regime, which would allow them to sell oil under their control.

“The rebels are not part of the government of Libya. They are not subject to the sanctions,” the official said.

But the rebels, who retook a number of oil fields and terminals in eastern Libya over the weekend and were advancing west toward Gaddafi’s hometown of Sirte, must first establish clear lines of control and payment systems that do not involve Libya’s National Oil Corp, its central bank nor any other government entity, the official said.

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice says the Obama administration has not ruled out military support for the Libyan rebels.

“We have not made that decision, George, but we’ve not certainly ruled that out,” Rice told “Good Morning America” anchor George Stephanopoulos on Tuesday morning. She did not answer a question about whether military support would include arming the rebels.

Rice told CBS’s “The Early Show” there are “non-military means at our disposal” to force Gaddafi out.

Those non-military means include cutting off Gaddafi’s resources (money, mercenaries, weapons); “providing assistance to the rebels and the opposition”; and engaging in a diplomatic process, with U.S. allies, “to chart a post-Gaddafi Libya.”

What Happened to the American Declaration of War?

In my book “The Next Decade,” I spend a good deal of time considering the relation of the American Empire to the American Republic and the threat the empire poses to the republic. If there is a single point where these matters converge, it is in the constitutional requirement that Congress approve wars through a declaration of war and in the abandonment of this requirement since World War II. This is the point where the burdens and interests of the United States as a global empire collide with the principles and rights of the United States as a republic.

World War II was the last war the United States fought with a formal declaration of war. The wars fought since have had congressional approval, both in the sense that resolutions were passed and that Congress appropriated funds, but the Constitution is explicit in requiring a formal declaration. It does so for two reasons, I think. The first is to prevent the president from taking the country to war without the consent of the governed, as represented by Congress. Second, by providing for a specific path to war, it provides the president power and legitimacy he would not have without that declaration; it both restrains the president and empowers him. Not only does it make his position as commander in chief unassailable by authorizing military action, it creates shared responsibility for war. A declaration of war informs the public of the burdens they will have to bear by leaving no doubt that Congress has decided on a new order — war — with how each member of Congress voted made known to the public.

Almost all Americans have heard Franklin Roosevelt’s speech to Congress on Dec. 8, 1941: “Yesterday, Dec. 7, 1941 — a date which will live in infamy — the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan … I ask that the Congress declare that since the unprovoked and dastardly attack by Japan on Sunday, Dec. 7, a state of war has existed between the United States and the Japanese Empire.”

It was a moment of majesty and sobriety, and with Congress’ affirmation, represented the unquestioned will of the republic. There was no going back, and there was no question that the burden would be borne. True, the Japanese had attacked the United States, making getting the declaration easier. But that’s what the founders intended: Going to war should be difficult; once at war, the commander in chief’s authority should be unquestionable.

It is odd, therefore, that presidents who need that authorization badly should forgo pursuing it. Not doing so has led to seriously failed presidencies: Harry Truman in Korea, unable to seek another term; Lyndon Johnson in Vietnam, also unable to seek a new term; George W. Bush in Afghanistan and Iraq, completing his terms but enormously unpopular. There was more to this than undeclared wars, but that the legitimacy of each war was questioned and became a contentious political issue certainly is rooted in the failure to follow constitutional pathways.


In understanding how war and constitutional norms became separated, we must begin with the first major undeclared war in American history (the Civil War was not a foreign war), Korea. When North Korea invaded South Korea, Truman took recourse to the new U.N. Security Council. He wanted international sanction for the war and was able to get it because the Soviet representatives happened to be boycotting the Security Council over other issues at the time.

Wow That Was Fast! Libyan Rebels Have Already Established A New Central Bank Of Libya

The rebels in Libya are in the middle of a life or death civil war and Moammar Gadhafi is still in power and yet somehow the Libyan rebels have had enough time to establish a new Central Bank of Libya and form a new national oil company.  Perhaps when this conflict is over those rebels can become time management consultants.  They sure do get a lot done.  What a skilled bunch of rebels – they can fight a war during the day and draw up a new central bank and a new national oil company at night without any outside help whatsoever.

If only the rest of us were so versatile!  But isn’t forming a central bank something that could be done afterthe civil war is over?  According to Bloomberg, the Transitional National Council has “designated the Central Bank of Benghazi as a monetary authority competent in monetary policies in Libya and the appointment of a governor to the Central Bank of Libya, with a temporary headquarters in Benghazi.”  Apparently someone felt that it was very important to get pesky matters such as control of the banks and control of the money supply out of the way even before a new government is formed.

Of course it is probably safe to assume that the new Central Bank of Libya will be 100% owned and 100% controlled by the newly liberated people of Libya, isn’t it?

Most people don’t realize that the previous Central Bank of Libya was 100% state owned. The following is an excerpt from Wikipedia’s article on the former Central Bank of Libya….

The Central Bank of Libya (CBL) is 100% state owned and represents the monetary authority in The Great Socialist People’s Libyan Arab Jamahiriya and enjoys the status of autonomous corporate body. The law establishing the CBL stipulates that the objectives of the central bank shall be to maintain monetary stability in Libya , and to promote the sustained growth of the economy in accordance with the general economic policy of the state.

Since the old Central Bank of Libya was state owned, it was essentially under the control of Moammar Gadhafi.

But now that Libya is going to be “free”, the new Central Bank of Libya will be run by Libyans and solely for the benefit of Libyans, right?

Of course it is probably safe to assume that will be the case with the new national oil company as well, isn’t it?

Over the past couple of years, Moammar Gadhafi had threatened to nationalize the oil industry in Libya and kick western oil companies out of the country, but now that Libya will be “free” the people of Libya will be able to work hand in hand with “big oil” and this will create a better Libya for everyone.

Cost of Libya Intervention $600 Million for First Week, Pentagon Says

One week after an international military coalition intervened in Libya, the cost to U.S. taxpayers has reached at least $600 million, according figures provided by the Pentagon.

U.S. ships and submarines in the Mediterranean have unleashed at least 191 Tomahawk cruise missiles from their arsenals to the tune of $268.8 million, the Pentagon said.

U.S. warplanes have dropped 455 precision guided bombs, costing tens of thousands of dollars each.

A downed Air Force F-15E fighter jet will cost more than $60 million to replace.

And operation of the war craft, guzzling ever-expensive fuel to maintain their positions off the Libyan coast and in the skies above, could reach millions of dollars a week, experts say.

Last week the Obama Administration took the United States to war against Libya without bothering to notify Congress, much less obtain a Constitutionally-mandated declaration of war. In the midst of our severe economic downturn, this misadventure has already cost us hundreds of millions of dollars and we can be sure the final price tag will be several times higher.

Why did the US intervene in a civil war in a country that has neither attacked us nor poses a threat?  We are told this was another humanitarian intervention, like Clinton’s 1999 war againstSerbia. But as civilian victims of the US-led coalition bombing continue to add up, it is getting difficult to determine whether the problem we are creating on the ground is worse than the one we were trying to solve.

Though the administration seems to be playing with semantics, calling this a “kinetic military action,” let’s be clear: this is a US act of war on Libya.

Imposing a no-fly zone over the air space of a sovereign nation is an act of war, as Secretary of Defense Robert Gates pointed out before the bombing began.

That the administration hesitates to call this war, possibly due to the troubling Constitutional implications, does not mean that it is not one. Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution could not be clearer: the power and obligation to declare war resides solely in the US Congress.

There was ample time and opportunity for the administration to consult the UN, NATO and the Arab League before going to war, but not the US Congress.

Aside from the manner in which the administration took us to war, it is also troubling that our government has taken a decisive stand for one side of an internal conflict in another sovereign country.  The administration speaks out of both sides of its mouth on this, claiming that the USis not attempting to overthrow the Gaddafi regime while clearly benefitting the rebels and stating that Gaddafi must leave. Does this make any sense? Gaddafi may well be every bit the “bad guy” we are told he is, but who are the rebels we are assisting?  Do we have any clue?  Will they bring freedom and prosperity to Libya if they are victorious?  We might like to hope so, but the fact is, we don’t know.  Michael Scheuer, former head of the CIA’s Bin Laden unit, explained in a recent article that there is plausible reason to believe the rebels are current or former Islamist mujahedin, eager to engage in jihad.  Indeed, Gaddafi has fought against Libyan Islamists for years and is seen by them as a bitter enemy.

Astoundingly, it may well be that we are assisting al Qaeda in this new war!

The costs of this terrible mistake cannot be ignored.  Congress has been locked in battles over budget cuts and agonizing over ways to save money.  Recent proposed spending cuts have by now been completely wiped out with this new war!  Will we be rebuilding Libya ten years from now?  Will Congress simply roll over and rubber stamp more emergency spending bills for this new war as they have done in the past?  We must end our participation in any attack on Libyaimmediately and I have signed on to legislation that would do exactly that. Congress must assert its Constitutional authority and rein in an administration clearly out of control.

EPA to Help Mainstream Media Obscure The Truth About Radiation Exposure to Americans

As Americans focus on March Madness and Dancing With the Stars instead of the radioactive plume spreading all across the country, the US EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) is attempting to make the mainstream media cover up of the Fukushima cloud a bit easier.

The agency now notorious for its infamous claim that the air was safe to breathe after 9/11 is now seeking to raise the PAGs (Protective Action Guides) to levels vastly higher than those at which they are currently set allowing for more radioactive contamination of the environment and the general public in the event of a radioactive disaster.

PAGs are policies established by the EPA that guide the agency in enforcing the various environmental laws such as the Clean Air and Water Act in the invent of a radioactive emergency such as a nuclear/dirty bomb or factory meltdown like that occurring in Japan.

The EPA had already established PAGs in this area in 1992. They can be found here. However, the agency now plans to amend and revise these standards this year.

Because regulatory agencies form their own policies (although they can be directed by either the President or the Congress), there is no requirement to seek Congressional approval for these changes. All that is required is that the agency place the proposed changes in the Federal Register for public comment before it finalizes its draft into legal policy.
